While a lot of people are crying nerf against CMs, perhaps an idea is for armorsmith to gain biological layers which would be crafted into armor to reduce the effects of CM attacks (and disease/poison from PVE). This would be balanced to begin with because it would require players to consider what kind of protection is more important to them (stun, kinetic, biological, etc, etc, etc). What does everyonethink?

Sounds likea lot of work switching armour during battles. And your still in trouble against a cm that can do stun damage.
Bio hat and the stun weapon does full damage.
Stun hat and the poison does full damage.

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of PyscoJuggalo's Riflenomican.

Actually, no, because composite has slots for 3 layers.

And sacrificing 1 of those layers could reduce the effectiveness of the armor significantly. No you'll have to wait for the combat revamp. I get the feeling that people wont be griefing over combat medics as much and that they'll have alot more to worry about than their mind pools.

I should have been an armorsmith. I swear they profit from every change and addition in the game. Think about it, Geo Cave = Need for stun layered, Corvette = Need for energy layered, DWD = ?. But actually Bio-Armor is a good idea, and it would be nice if CM's needed to make a component for it so we could make a little dough on the side
