Old news, sadly (or luckily depending on how you look at it) the thing only works for the poison in the tunnels of the geonosian complex. (Buffs counter that poison just as effective without taking up a slot in your inventory, and who ever is stupid enough togo unbuffed to the geo complex?)

It will stop crappy CM poisons too. I had a bud hit me with poison As and Cs. I was protected from the As, but not the Cs. Oh, and you can't wear a rebreather and a helmet at the same time.

Looted from where? Off of what? Screenshots?

Only rebreathers I've ever seen are of the Geonosian variety, and they do not work against CM poisons/disease.

I think you probably resisted the A poison, and the rebreather had nothing to do with it. Poison A's get resisted alot.

I am guessing that the reason for the one stars (which I did not do myself at the time of this posting) is because the comment about geonocian rebreathers, the potential effect thereof, and the ultimate discovery that they did not affect combat medic poisons was discussed a few weeks ago. I would guess that people don't like the myth of rebreathers affecting combat medic poisons being brought up again.

But if it wasn't a geo rebreather things come in a diffrent light. Well I'm drunk on wine, single malt and kirin tonight so I'll refrain from analysis. But maybe we all should start killing a these black suns and checking for rebreathers to test.

Though if it protects agains A and B it only serves to protect against stacking. (and not even the most obvious stacking at that)

Thanks to the original poster for the heads up though.

I'd gladly let them have a rebreather to counter my poisons. Then I can use a damage sliced spraystick to headshot them faster than my jawa!

I would assume that the black sun rebreather means that there will be poison traps in the deathwatch bunker just like the geo caves. just a guess though but it would make sense why they drop it as well
