Thread: New CM Weapons vortexala Read Please

Is there any chance of CMs getting a chance to have a cm weapon that a only another master CM can heal?


Like a weapon that has a effect of a pixie when the after effects happen or a moun gold that has a downer as a effect to a target player?


something that has a instant effect that is better than a poison would help us in a cm profession and plus it would give us cms something else to heal?


just thinking of new ways to make cm more effective...


even a ranged weapon that only a cm could use would be nice...one that makes players unable to attack for a certain amount of time or make a player groggy would be a nice addition so that we could be more effective

Plus Making the weapon a weapon that is like a lightsaber in the way that its used


like say you put in resources or ammo in it so that when it runs out you have to put more ammo in it so that you can use it again


also some field buffs that hit for 500-700 would be nice...ones that you could apply in one second..that hits for all stats that would have a 40 minute duration would also be a nice thing to add

thats an extremely unbalancing idea. it was also very difficult to understand the way you typed it, but from what i underrstand your asking for a "buff gun"?


whos your dealer, sounds like u got some good **edit**.

He is asking for a de-buffer pack it seems.


A pack that would temporarily negate a Doctor/Musican/Dancer enhancement for a period of time.


It should be a pack only a MCM can craft and use.

I'm not a CM but I kinda like the idea, we all will have to wait and see till after the "Docs" come out, I believe there will be alot of changes. And depending on what "roles" are given to professions will determine future ideas.

Ok let me clear it up


I should of make it clear im sorry


I was enquiring to what you would think of making a weapon that a CM or a Master Weaponsmith Could craft....it would have no damage mods on it at all...it wouldn't be no ordinary weapon....instead of it doing damage it would be filled with ammunition that would run out after a certain amount of uses like a lightsaber with crystal condition.

The effect of the TGU (Temporary Grogginess Unit) or the weapon as you could call it would be to make a target groggy for 30 seconds...and also make it so that doctors CANNOT heal it...because they do not know how...I would think it would take a master CM to be able to make the ammunition for this weapon so it would stay out of dabbler hands because why reward those that just dabble in this and that when you spend all of your points on cm...most people i know that have cm are doctor also and can only get 4 0 0 4 in marksman making cm/doc a unfair combo...this would make it equaled out in the community and fair.


also to add into that make it so that only a cm could make the antidote for it and administer on the victims of it....again a master skill would be needed to make this (preferably make it where only masters and only masters can use it)


the system message for this would be like so:

You feel groggy

Master CM has delayed you for 30 seconds


the combat tab messages coule be like this:

Master Cm uses Grogginess Shot on you making you groggy for 30 seconds

You cannot attack while groggy

You cannot burst run while groggy

You cannot Heal while groggy

Player WithCmheals you of grogginess


Other than that...i had mixed up the messages...it is not a buff gun its a weapon for cms that will really make them chemical warfare Masters like the game has intended them to be...the code is there for this new weapon even for the grogginess


Also making protective buffs that only Master Cm's can use (again i hate dabblers) would make this more effective way to give a cm the part in the GCW that they should have


The buff thing i was talking about would be Combat Buffs...nothing more than 700...for those who have been KIA then rezed by a doctor would be able to be instantly buffed for 700 on all stats but mind focus and willpower...

So you are suggesting some sort of super pre-nerf warcry? And I was under the impression that much of this game was about dabbling in many professions to find your playstyle?

Ideas are good. Discussion is good.


But, to be honest, I highly doubt we will ever get an actual 'weapon' of our own.

Well The Weapon idea is just one i was swinging around....

Currently there is no way to combat a doctor on the battlefield there for making cm useless seeing that every one i see that has doctor can cure it with just 40 4 0 doc and make a dabbler template and kill me so easy with ease where i do not have but mabye 50 ranged defense and no way to keep a doctor off my back.


The weapon i was thinking SHOULD be a support tactic that would give me the time to go and rescue a player on the battle field using a bio weapon that would have the capabilitys of a area attack to keep the other side busy while i or a doctor runs out and drags the incaped or dead player behind allied forces lines....


this was just a idea...the time limit could be reduced to that of a master warcry timelimitand only make it to where we could shoot it 4 seconds....


also it would be a great way to defeat a doctor thats by themself when your one on one...i still think the grogginess idea is a good one


and one that the master doc/master cms would enjoy to have


if you wanted to just make it a throwable weapon like a poison is i wouldn't mind...we have a 3 second time it takes to throw a poison like a grenade


just like anything else in the cm armory it will be easily cureable by a 4 0 0 4 force healer


please post extra comments and ideas...its great to know that vortexala looked

Not only that but SOE should make like mini CM buffs to make the class more viable as a healer aswell,ones that can be used in dungeons like 500-750 max just enough to help a party get out of a dungeon..... you know 500-750 lasting 20-30min and they can onlly buff the secondary stats
