I was going to try and test this myself on TC-Ahazi with the character builders, but it seems it could take me hours, even days to locate high end poison/disease or track down and possibly harvest the necessary resources. So I thought I might simply ask. How effective would a Master CM/Pistoleer 0040/Smuggler 0010 be against such things as Nightsisters. Would it be possible to apply disease and poison to say an Elder and feign death, and repeat to conclusion before buffs ran out. I am actually think of a 50k ham target and his cast of supporting characters. I had a template in mind but thought it might wise to check out other options. My other option is Master Swords/TK 0304/Pistoleer 4044/Smuggler 0010. I am pretty sure I can make that work, and probably would be much quicker. How do you think MCM would work against 50k ham, and how long would it take. Thanks

I don't like FD in PvE. You almost instantly regain agro as soon as stand up again.

I also dislike smuggler specials without having BH or pistoleer speed/accuracy to back them up.

Keep in mind that CM gives you almost no defence.

It's my personal opinion that you would need to get at least the defence lines of pistol/rifle or one of the melee proffs to go along with CM.

Pip is a TKM/4404 CM and can take on med armor 80% res PvE mobs, but has to be healing himself and using CoB while doing it. I think you are trying to be too specialized with the smuggler. People will disagree with me though.

Pip Tazo = Master Doc / Swordsman - Always the CM at heart
Zhose U'nare = Master Smuggler / Pistoleer - resource hound

i have to agree with Pahd, i was a smuggler for about 2 months, and while FD was fun at first MOBs really do aggro you way too quickly after you stand. they can even be a good 64m away and the moment you stand they are on you again.

i would personally go with the defense lines from pistol. the points will be better spent that way

Before I had a pve build similar mcm/smuggler 0010/tk 4000. Ever since the uped HAM on mobs theres a good chance it will despawn before you can kill it.

I was just using feign death as insurance. Had tested it out with a couple templates Master Commando with some defense stacking and Master Swordsman with defense stacking. Used high quality composite armor and buffs. I would use my DOT attacks and the keep fighting till my ham was getting down to 25% or less then feign. Let the DOTs work while I take a nap and regen my ham and then get up and DOT them again. Seemed to work out ok with many of the nighsisters, but the elders have so much ham that might take quite a while without a strong DOT. I could fight longer with Swordsman than I could commando, but of course I did have such a good DOT. As far as despawning goes I have only really had a problem with that on Dantooine. Even low level stuff like hurtons tend to despawn on me and it only takes like 10 secs to kill them. They seem to know when they can only take one or two more hits then poof. Think its a server problem though.

I am actually trying to devise this template whether it is CM or other, to take out Mellichae and his henchmen. I only have one FS branch to fill out and then I will be ready for that part of the new system. I have heard about him and everyone says to bring lots of friends. I guess I just would like the satisfaction of doing it myself if I can. I am not really too concerned with his men, he is the problem with 50k ham, medium armor, and lightsaber damage. Thats why feign death is part of my plan, because I know I can't let him beat on me for long. Actually once his men are dispatched I might just go with no armor. Then while feigned I should regen rather quickly. I just thought some nasty poison and disease could work on his ham while I am on the ground recovering.
