Thread: Help on picking skills (Combat medic dabling)

I'm thinking of making the a Combat medic / Bounty Hunter character. With all the requirments I can get 3 full colums of skills and 3 boxes on a 4th branch.


I was thinking of teh following

Combat medic 3004

Bounty Hunter 4400 (pistol and investigation)


from what I read in the forums this is the best combination I can make.


any suggestions.


I do not PVP ( know this can have kill PVP potencial), and I like to solo or work in small groups, Figures this gives me a good skill balance. On other servers a freind of mine is always CM so I figured I would take the medic role on this server. But I don't just want to take CM and weapon skill, I like something that allows for exploration and a reason to move arround and a reason for being other than to take destroy missions. Before I was ranger and carbineer which gave me lots of freedom. I figures witht he Explorarion 4 (required for BH) and the terrain neg sill in the support tree of I have almost the same terrain neg as a ranger.


I might drop a box of investigation for the last box of CM range, I'll see whaen I get there. The only problem I see with this is that CM meds are not easy to find on the bazaar or merchants.


if anyone knows place to by the stuff on Chilastra let me know.

that is an inteesting template you have there. Just gotta correct it before I comment


You need 251 pts to have what you want there, and 4400 Bh is carbine & invest.


I suggest either 4004 CM / 3040 BH.



  • You can health poison (and stack As, Bs, and Cs) and inflict fire from /torsoShot

  • Still hunt jedi if desired.

  • You have /eyeShot to finish off the mind and still have a ton of speed and accuracy from the BH line

  • You will heal 100% with some 40 med use stimpack Es

  • Heal groups decently

  • Do damage to groups fairly well.

  • You will have +80 terrain negotiation, +80 pistol speed, +110 pistol accuracy





I personally like this idea a lot! Here is why...



  • one of my mains is a 0044 Pistoleer, 3040 Bh, 0040 Smugg, 0040 Medic

  • The other is a MCM / Rifle

So to me this is like "what if I combined both my characters....lol." I dunno this made me really excited

I think I'll go this way, I also like the idea that I can grap a big rifle, and head shot from 60m then switch to pistol as the combat closes in. Then use eye shot with pistol... drops the mind bar Fast.


FYI I do that with my carbneer now. (laser carbine at 50 M DRX6 for 22m)
