Well,
I made Master Combat Medic a few weeks ago and i am having a blast with it. I can make some serious poisons. Today, while in Ancorhead on Bria an Imp challenged me to a duel. Well i just got done healing up so i figured what the heck, should be fun. I accept the challenge, and i throw 1 mind poison and 1 action poison and in 4 seconds the guy is white bars. I then DB him (cause he is an imp and he would have done it to me) and for the next 30 minutes i get hate tells. "Oh you cheat" , "Oh, your such a noob" etc.etc.
I then challenged one of my friends who had a buff(3000+ stats) and is master sword/fencer. I hit him with 1 mind poison, 1 area mind poison and 1 mind disease. In about 15 seconds (maybe 20) he falls down and is out, i didnt even have to swing a sword once.
Now my point of this post is, do you guys get the "Your Cheating" phrase a lot? Is that just part of this profession? Should i maybe calm down and let the duels/attacks last more than 30 seconds? Maybe i should have a good poison button and a bad poison button and use them accordingly
Just curious.

No, it's not cheating. Other people who don't use dots may think it is because thanks to buffs, armor, and the general way of things, Dots tend to dominate PvP. Even when I wasn't a Dot monger normally killing someone could get me a wave of hate tells. Just ignore the children who play the game and you'll do fine.
Hate tells = /addignore

I guess my thing is I use dots because im a MCM. Is it cheating if a master swordsman uses a sword? Is it cheating if a rifleman uses a rifle?
I think people just need to realize, MCM is a profession and we use dots, get over it
and yeah, i finally had to /addignore the guy/kid

Well my momma always told me not to DB other people in duels, and thats probably what he was complaining about.

Well, basically he's the noob if he duels a Combat Medic without A) the appropriate security measures or B) setting up rules for the duel that states "no poison or disease".
(Of course, you would be a noob if you agreed to the no poison or disease rule)
He might be complaining, just as eapers said, about being deathblown... but then again that's a risk you take when duelling unknown people. /addignore is the best course of action here. It's amazing how many people can fit into that list.

Unless you stated "No DB" at the beginning of the duel you shouldn't have killed him. You should also never throw a disease in a friendly duel unless you have the means to cure it to prevent it frm tripling your sparring partner (to combat this you can also throw a disease that will just full black bar in one tick
)
DBing someone in a friendly is just lame, and "He was an imp and would ahve done it to me" is no excuse.
Having said all that, I DB people all the time, or leave them to triple and rot in a mix of mind poision/disease/fire, but I'm mean and I like when people cry in hate tells. If you don't like it then play nice. It's not hard to figure out.

Just to clarify, This guy was challenging others to duels and he was db'ing them also so we never stated no db's and i knew he would do it to me since he was doing it to everyone else.
And my template has doc in it so i can heal whatever i dish out

I wouldn't worry about curing them, the melee stackers and such that use dot weapons never offer to cure my diseases and poisons when we are through. If you can, and do, that is nice but nothing to be demanded or expected.
