I am currently on the road to becoming a Combat Medic and will also continue my med skills all the way to Master Doctor.

What exactly gives you XP in Ranegd Weapon Support? I thought it was just be firing your weapon but my carbine skills is rising faster, much faster than ranged weapon support...

When you fight you get both experience towards your weapon (the one you used) and combat exp that goes into the ranged support skill tree. You get combat exp at 10% of the weapon exp. 240 pistol exp = 24 combat exp. So by the time you have pistol 4 you will only have ranged supt 3. By the time you get novice pistoleer you will have ranged supt 4, then you start the pistoleer trees even again. Ranged supt will always be 1 behind because you have novice pistoleer and master pistoleer. Those 2 skill boxes will fill in the last box of ranged supt by the time you qualify for them.

Woah, are you saying that I would have to climb the Carbiner tree to reach the top of Ranged Support for Marksman?

You don't have to, Parna. Basically, if you're 'good' at a weapon (let's say specialist) you're going to go after higher con mobs to get your exp, so you're going to get more weapon exp meaning more combat exp as well. Combat exp is a pain. When I did straight CM I was a Master Medic loooooong before I got Ranged Spec. I'm going to start working on the Combat part of CM tonight so I sympathize.

I have all advanced marksman skills and expert rifle. My ranged is only advanced. At this rates it almost looks like i will have to have all marksman skills to get my ranged high enough to be a combat medic. Oh well.

You could do that or you could max 1 line (ie rifle) then go for the rifleman tree. That would make you more effective in the 1 line whether it be rifle, pistol, or carbine. or if you want a variety of weapons you could go into multiple trees, but ultimately it will cost you more points on your tree to get your combat xp than advancing into rifleman, pistoleer, or whatever the carbine advanced profession is (ie, it is 6 points to start the noice rifleman/novice pistoleer, novice caribiner, vs it would probably take mastering a second marksman line to get the combat xp you need, which would cost 5+4+3+2=14 points).

Hope that made sense ..
