I understand that only the Range Support tree is required, but I was thinking about making Master Marksman completley before starting on the Combat medic tree. Is this going to help me in the long run or am I just wasteing my time?

I would pick one weapon and stick with it. If you are a grouping medic I dont think it would be worth the skill points to qual in all weapons. Just my opinion.

waste of time, with master combat medic, and 1 ,astered wepon, you won't have the skill points to master marksman.

i did combat medic in beta, i prefer pistol

I think its best to work a single line then advancing into the next tier. I am heading for Rifleman /Combat Medic.

ya I would suggest going for just 1 weap. Is it possible to be a pistoleer + medic + combat medic? I think it is. Or any other weapon master.

yes... but I suggest going rifleman/combat medic..

that way all your abilities drain from the mind pool andy ou only have to buff up your mind... instead of having to buff up action pools if you take caribeener or or health if you take pistol

You're a fool. Pistol specials *attack* health. Carbine specials *attack* action. Rifle specials *attack* mind. That's on their targets. It doesn't mean that's the pool that specials take their cost from.

Stop giving out information which is patently disprovable within 10 minutes of playing the game.

yeesh, /flamesuit on

i'm taking pistol myself, b/c it drains from a different pool than my healing, ie if i'm healing like a **edit** i won't run out of mind, and b/c if i'm ranged healing i'm not gonna be shooting many people unless they are right on me, and pistol is best for that...if i don't need to heal i'll just run up near my friends and blast away with pistol pba style...of course this is only an untested strategy...

All weapons drain all pools, but the amounts may differ. Depends on the weapon, depends on how it was made, and depends on what special move you are using if any (I think on that last one, no info is listed in game that I could find). All the weapons I have checked out seem to have roughly equal penalties to health and mind and about double that to action. But I haven't looked at that many.
