I just noticed, looking through these boards, that alomst EVERYONE is a Master CM/Some piece of Doctor/Pistoleer.

Come on guys... I want to see a Pikeman/CM or Swordsman/CM... I can understand the Doc/CM path, but the actual combat class is the same for like 90% of us here... I may switch mine to something else if this does not change...

CM/ Riflewoman here! I love both of my classes so far but I'm no where near master yet hehe. Although the Mind cost is hard on me I have found ways to work with the huge pause and mind cost and have gotten used to it.

One thing they do need to do is have heals show up in your combat que!! Sucks not being able to see them in there... I havn't gotten to the poisons or diseases yet but those I'm sure would be nice to see in there also.

Been thinking about this a bit more... anyone know how good CM/Carineer is? I've been debating Carbineer for a while due to ranged knockdown and sweet damage?

If you're a master CM you can't master a brawler profession

I'm a 3,4,4,4 Combat Medic and 1,1,0,1 Carbineer. I love the combo. I started with rifle, and trained into rifleman, but gave that up becuase the long delay between shots affected my heal speed, it pulled too much from my mind, and it was tough to use in group situations (unless I was with other riflemen).

I didn't go pistol, because everyone and their rancor went that way (or so it seems). Plus I think carbines are cool.

it takes 169 points to master cm and an additional 77 points to master a gun profession or 63 points to master doctor

if you try to master a brawler profession that takes 92 points if you try to master ch thats an additional 106 points basically if you want to master cm and want a second elite mastery you only have 4 options

its less to do with orginality and creativity, then functionality and skill points...

since we have to learn ranged support and all the moves are based on ranged weapons, getting brawler/melee just makes getting ranged support even more useless than it is now...

furthermore, its notreally a tactically sound class mixture...

if u are healing you are not special moving...

also when tanking higher level mobs as most melee classes do, you want to keep mind pool usage as low as possible to soak the random mind hits from mobs...lord knowsu need to spend even more mind pool on healing while u are getting it beat on...

finally, when was the last time you saw a combat medic leading the charges and puching the enemy?

Master CM / half-way to master Carabiner.

AOE Knockdown + AOE poison - that's going to be awesome!

You don't get AE KD but other than that enjoy.

you already have to buy marksman, so why waste that edge you get in skill points. Also why bother having ranged heals if you're always gonna be in melee combat.

If you want to do melee take doc that way you're not wasting potential.

If you choose to master CM (which you probably will), the only other elite classes you can choose to master are doctor, carbineer, pistoleer, and rifleman.

It's an innate design limitation given to CMs to counter their power.

If you want to go melee, take doc instead. You'll need the stat buffs more than a marksman will, you'll get plenty of wounds which you can take care of easily, and you can always heal yourself and your melee buddies. Sure, you can't heal the marksman firing in the back, but hey, if they die, at least that's more exp for you. =)

Oh yeah, you'd get revive and poison healstoo heh.
