Thread: human CM/Doctor
Human wouldnt be my first pick for a healer, but their faction for pets is half what I spend for faction items and pets so its a toss. If you plan to get AT-ST's, etc, humans a good choice.
incredible mind regen and equilibrium are so valuable as CM/medic that i would pick zabrek over human anyday...
the imp penalty is a pain but i really dont wanna run around with a at-st or a bunch of troopers...
heck id be happy for ST armor....like ill ever get that...
but as for the abilities and stats to help u as a doctor...
just that alone would make zabreks and the squidies(mon cala)the best choices with wookie for itsincredible stats overall aclose3rd...
besides race doesnt make a huge impact on stats butinnate racial skills is another story

I have to disagree, the willpower bonuses a Zabrak gets makes them far superior medics/doctors/combat medics.
I am a human imperial doc and I have found it to work out quite well. Honestly on Flurry at least theredoesn't seem to bea ton of master CMs or Docs and I get tells every day begging for support on missions/hunts. I think the real issue is if you plan to be overt. If you plan to be overt with the faction perks then human is a huge advantage in the time needed to get your perks (time that could be used do other things). Personally I have ST armor and faction pets which would have taken me alot longer to get if I wasn't human.Even as a human I can keep most 10-15 person groups going with no real mind problems. I haven't found it to be much of an issue since mind incaps are usually what drop anyone in my groups.
So can you be a very effective human CM or Doc..heck yes. Is a human going to have to occassionally check to see how much mind they have left though...yes.
Just migrate all your stats to mind and buff everything else. You'll still be able to wear ST armor and function effectively (although if you wear the helmet it can get a bit challenging).

so what did you disagree on again, PBT?
1100/600/600 for a human isnt all that different from a zabreks max mind stats 1000/500/900 i do believe...
given that humans spend less and have more pool but regen slower..its hard to say if in the end it really makes a huge difference....
but equilibrum is an seriously awesome ability
I've been doing OK as a human combat medic/doctor/carbineer.
But many are the times that I wish I had gone Zabrak for the mind bonuses, resists and most of all equillibrium.
There is a significant difference in the stat effectiveness. The regen stats are far more important than the cheapening stats. As an experiment, why don't you try migrating your stats around?
From another perspective, you only pay the cost ofan ability when youuse that ability. On the other hand, your character is alway regenerating.
That said, my avatar is a human. But that's more for RP purposes than anything else.
With health and action buffs, equilibrium is a freemind heal every hour. Don't forget, too, that zabraks get +200 health and +300 action, which are far more useful than the str/con/sta/quick bonuses that humans get.
The only good reason to go human is for faction perks. So you have to decide whether you want to be a better medic, or a better imperial.
