Combat Medic Archive

I went into Bestine Overt with some buddies on Ahazi. We brawl a bit, Marshall Law is there, Urd, etc. The normal crew. I toss some area poison here, some individual poison there, TEF war ensues.

After i've had my fun, i take off. And i get a /tell from a guy saying "you've been reported". For what you say? I did too. He says I poisoned him while he was incapped, and that i was exploiting.

I was under the impression that an incapped or dead player would ALWAYS resist poison and disease now.

Some clarification please?

p.s. and why do people have to be such jerks about a stupid game anyway?

I thought incapped and corpses were immune to poisons as well. I will as about it on the correspondent forum and get a definate answer for you later

1) You can't be reported for it. There's no "exploit" there.

2) You should tell the person to /bug it.

3) It's more likely that you fired off an AE just as he was getting slapped down and he didn't notice it until after he was incap'd.

4) There used to be/is a bug where if you poisons an NPC with the same name as a PC the PC would get poisoned as well.

No, you can still poison and disease an incapped person, but you cannot poison or disease a corpse. I dont think they inteneded to fix poisoning an incapped player in that patch, just the ability to make someone come out the cloner with a poison/disease on.

Ahh... Heh Reading comprehension is key here.

So, what's the problem with poisoning incap'd people? You aint dead yet.

I did it last night in coronet 3 times, then again I was also able to Revenge TEF as well, so something wasnt right. Could of been a bug. Ill try again tonight.

I heard that they were supposed to fix the poisoning and diseasing on a incaped player .

havent been able to on Sunrunner, server specific maybe?

I get resist messages on dead/incaps all the time.

I confirmed last night you can "try" to poison or disease an incapped player, but it resists it every time it seems. Odd way to fix it, but effective.

the dev said you should not be able to poison someone who is incapped or dead, can you repeat this on a regular basis?
