Thread: Do I need Engineering?
I'm out of skill point and I need to get rid of some skills. Do I really need the Engineering skill tree? Does the experimentationpoints help at all with med crafting? I desperatly need to drop skills so any info would be helpful. I am trying to become a noviceCM/novice Commando so most of my points are tied up inthe med tree and marksman. Only thing left to give up is Engineering, surveying, and exploration.
any suggestions?

Engineering tree does not help at all with Experimentation for Med Crafting. If you can afford to keep Novice Artisan I would drop any points you have in survey altogether. Easier to just survey for a plot and plop down a harvester anyway. Exploration is iffy. If you plan to put more points into CM then you can use the CM support tree to gain some Terrain Negotiation.
Personally I would surrender the Artisan table altogether as well as scout. Just getting Novice CM and Novice Commando will leave you with 55 points and not nearly enough to put into either one. As a novice CM you won't be very effective anyway. Thereal CM powers come into play once you master askilltree or Master CM altogether. I'd suggest abandoning CM altogether and go for Master Medic/Master Commando instead with 4 points left over.
