Just a question to those that know, I've been getting conflicting info on this. Some say that I should loot the corpse, other tell me to harvest meat, which is it? Please help, thanks in advance....

oh, and good luck. If you are succesful, if you don't mind, post how long it took you to find one and what kind of rancor it was that you looted it off.

I made this into a quest for myself and after 9 hours of soloing (with my gurreck, so no not really soloing) the Rancor Cave, and taking out every Rancor lair I saw on Dantooine, I walked away with only having once succesful loot which was for Rancor Padded Armor segments.

My PA got five over one night from killing about fifteen of these guys, but the master ranger was doing the looting most of the time. I suspect you need to loot first before you harvest

My friend, in a search for Padded Armor, returned with 22 Biles fer me.

did they all come off the same type of Rancor? if so, what kind? The day I went I was getting a lot of Bull Rancors.

i had heard it was the ancient bulls that were dropping the bile? saw one tonight but it was 14k+(?) ham...too much for me

my master cm buddy just gave me 9 off of one rancor

I went on a quest with some people from my PA searcing for Rancor Bile and all we got were padded armor segments.

So if you want Rancor Bile, search for Padded Armor. LOL

I went in search of bile with a friend of mine. We killed mostly anchient bull rancors. We must have killed 30 of those guys and didnt loot anything. No teeth....No Bile....Nor armor segments....nothing. Quite frustrating.

I've gotten them off of regular rancors.

And don't you people know the rule? If you're looking for one thing, you'll find the other. CLEARLY, you need to be hunting for padded armor segments.
