My template is MCM/Doc/Pistoleer, This template was great for supporting groups on raids and big hunts.

I recentlyreturned to the game from a 4 month hiatus, and now the waythe game is played is different. I no longer need to support parties on raids (pvp) and biggroup hunts. What I now need is a decent soloing template, but I want to still keep Doc/MCM.

Could anyone give me suggestions on if I should dropPistoleer and pick up either Carbineer (sp?) or rifleman or anyone other suggestions.

Your suggestions would be greatly appreceiate

It sorta depends on what you want to solo, how you want to do it, and what your goals are. I am a MCM/2440 Doc/0040 Pistoleer. My motivation for having this template is mainly to be an effective support personnel for large scale raids, while still having a few offensive abilities. The more I think about it though, the more I think I'd be better as a 4440 Doc, with the accuracy line of rifleman to finish off mind poison victims while I run away. This, of course will all change with the combat revamp, so I'm waiting to shift my template.

My currrent templateis effective for solo PVE and killing tough mobs, because I can buff myself, poison stuff, run away/wait, and finish it off with a few fan shots or body shots. But it's also very boring. Then again, most solo content in this game is boring. Rifleman and Carbineer are not likely to be useful for you without mastering them, so pistoleer is still a good choice if you want to dabble, and are strictly PVE. It sucks for PVP, tho.

If you really want to be effective at solo PVE against high end opponents, you're probably better off as a TKM/Doctor or Rifleman/Doctor. CM is not terribly useful in POI dungeons like the Geno caves, because those 20K critters will tear you in half before your poison ticks twice. You need to kill them faster than that.

Oh, one other thing. If you're JUST returning from a 4 month hiatus, and you're thinking that the content in this game has gotten any better, you might be disappointed. If you're really just interested in solo PVE, you might wanna stick to games like Morrowind and KOTOR, unless you're genuinely interested in the social aspect of MMORPGs.

CM/Doc is a horrible solo template. That's what I am right now and frankly, I can't kill s....much. I am a casual gamer, so buffing for 20 minutes of play is a little too costly. I'm GREAT in group but I have the same trouble. Guild outings are pretty rare and even then with my time I usually miss em. I have another character I'm going to work on offense with, if left with just my main...I'd probably drop Doc some for more weapon skill. Tough choice.

/lol. Yah, I'm already bored !I already redid the themepark and various others missions for loot.Joined couple partiesin the geno caves. NowI'm super bored.I log on, look at list. Hrm..who is on. out of the handful of peopel on, I try to convince them to stopgrindingprofessions forhopesof unlcokignJedi, doesn't work. I go out and try to solo stuff, die ifI try to kill anything interesting (e.g.NS/Krayts/genos).Get bored, logoff.

I actually like grouping, but my "friends list" is down to 5% of the people or on regularly and out of the 5% most are grinding professions for Jedi. So it leaves me with nothing to do except maybe soloing. Which will probably bore me quickly.

As far as Morrowind and KOTR , i have both. I love KOTR, but there no social aspect to it
