Thread: CM heals v Doc heals ?

If this is answered somewhere already, please point me in the direction of the thread ! I have looked through the FAQ and threads and have found no answer.


I am currently Doctor 3xxx. But I have suddenly wondered whether or not CM would suit my character better. I will still want to be able to heal myself and others, but like the idea of the CM's DoTs and debuffs.


To help me make my decision, I need to know how CM heals compare to Doc heals. For example, at Doc 3xxx I am healing for around 1200.


What does a CM heal for at 3xxx ? And at 4xxx ?

Doctor heals are the best single target point blank there are. In addition to 2 point blank singles you have a point blank heal over time which keeps going long after application.


CM's have a medium power point blank, high power ranged, and low/medium area heal. The ranged and area heals are best for group support.


The DoT's and debuffs come in handy but are situational only. Doctors buffs which can be just as important.


Yeah I know this isn't making any easier but both have their virtures. The best pointer I can give you until you are concrete in what you want your role to be is that CM costs 14 skillpoints less unless you want to pick up the extra healing efficiency in the medic lines.

With MCM, +25 healing eff, +110 healing droid, and 1167 toss enhancer I'm healing up to 2017 points of damage with each toss.
