Thread: Thyroid rupture actually work?

I posted this in another thread, but I wanted to make a new one to get everyone's attention. And no, I'm not talking about the basic Thyroid Rupture, I'm talking about MCM thyroid rupture abilities.

I was out hunting gurks today, and I had two aggro me. In the combat spam, they were both hitting me at the same time. I hit one with thyroid rupture, but it did not slow the gurk down at all. They were both hitting at the same time both graphically and in the combat spam. The gurk that I applied it to was also always the first one to hit me, because I would click off of him, then when I would get hit, it would be him again that gets targeted. If thyroid rupture worked, I would of at least thought the second gurk would have eventually hit me first since the other is supposed to be slowed by 40 points, but that wasn't the case...

So what's the deal? I keep reading about how it's so "game breaking" to have a -40 combat speed debuff for two minutes and all that jazz, but it doesn't seem to be even working to me.

It works. I tested it. It seems to give a 25% reduction in your enemies attack speed.

To those babies wanting to nerf it, I suggest you go after nerfing their precious armor break, because it is a HELLUVA lot more POTENT than this.

Mind sharing how you tested it? Did you test it in PvP or PvE?

Have done testing a simple macro that notifies you every second. Count the seconds to see a difference. On both humanoid and animal npc's the reduction is there. This doesn't lower damage in any way shape of form just slows it down. You might be oblivious to the reduction due to the heated combat you are engaged.

In PvP its even easier as you can duel someone and/or have them apply it to yourself. The results are blatantly obvious.

Suggest you try it out for yourself.

Maybe the gurks had a force bond.

in pvp, the most obvious indication it works is a continued attack sequence where you lose afction slower.
