Combat Medic Archive

Im considering making a Combat Medic or a Doctor character. I have several problems though

1- Im unsure which to be -- Doctor or Combat Medic. What are the differences between the two?
2- I'm uncertain whats the bestweapon to go with
3- I already have 2 pistol using characters so Im hoping the answer to #2 isnt Pistol.

i'll leave #1 for someone else but. I'd strongly suggest pistol...but if you are completly against it i'd say carbine. But pistol is your best bet, since the way healing is implemented into the combat que, if you were say using a rifle, you would have to wait the whole 6second delay, then heal, by that time you'll already be dead. So pistols with their 1.x second shots are ideal. Then there are some good carbines in the 2.x range. So it's up to you

Pistol, without a doubt...even if they nerf it to kingdom come, the fast rate of fire/combat queueand almost no mind cost are perfectly synergistic to the medical profession.

As for Doc/CM...honestly? I mastered CM, but I keep doctor crafting skills because they completely screwed us on making our own Profession-specific components.

Master doc / Master CM here.. Pistol is the way to go for me.

- I dont really que body shot anymore I just keep an eye on everybodies health to heal when needed.
- A good group will have pets hold the aggro away from the players so I just end up healing the pets mostly.

I am a rifleman/cm. And it's **edit** tough, but I'm stubborn. I can only work in groups if I use my spraystick or a pistol. My best rifle, the T21 completely eliminates my ability to heal effectively. My guildmates now just tease me, always asking me when I'm going to give up rifleman.
