Hi folks,

I'm about to hit master medic and will then have some skill points to spend in either the doc or CM trees. My primary goal is to keep my group alive and to heal in camps. I've heard various things about how effective CMs really are. So I will have about 30pts or so to spend in the CM tree. Is ranged heal effective? Are AOE heals effective? What should I spend these points on? Or should I go doctor?

ranged healing is god...u will be able to keep grps of 10+ people alive no problem.

AOE is currently broken but the devs are looking at it...

doctor is a good option as well but if u are thinking healing in PvE. then CM is the way to go...

focus on the Range line and the support line...range increase the power of ur heals and range at which u can heal and support will allow you access to higher packs...u will most likely have to purchase your meds tho. You will also have access to dots which will let you have some limited offensive capabilities

To all, my opening apologies for what may seem to be foolish questions. Been a CM on Tempest for a couple days now...only seen 3 others, so I can't really ask them for clarifications on a couple of things.

If i understand it correctly, /applypoison and /applydisease are the commands for our offensive abilities. Let's say i have a health and mind poison. is "/applypoison health" how i specify the type I want?

Second, are the commands for area poisons different? If i have a single mind poison and area mind poison...how are those different?

In terms of experimentation, can you tell me which experimental slot is used for potency, damage, duration, range and area respectively?

And item last. How specialized are area poisons? Can i inadvertantly poison my team too? Or bystanders? Or is it specialized in targeting to enermies/enemy group only?

Thanks so much,

Jacore

-- Correct

Second, are the commands for area poisons different? If i have a single mind poison and area mind poison...how are those different?

-- Dunno, I just drag the thing I want to use into the tool bar and use the hotkeys to pick exactly what I want. That way I can keep an ey on how many charges I have left.

In terms of experimentation, can you tell me which experimental slot is used for potency, damage, duration, range and area respectively?

-- Potency is under the Usage, the rest are under the effectiveness i believe. I havnt done much experimenting on poisons to be sure.

And item last. How specialized are area poisons? Can i inadvertantly poison my team too? Or bystanders? Or is it specialized in targeting to enermies/enemy group only?

-- Just like any other attack, you can only affect things that are targetable by you. Ie. Enemies/MOBs.
