Thread: New skill for Master Doctor/Master Combat Medics
What about area cure disease and poison for a master doc? Resist buffs? Combat medic seems fine. I would like a variety of support skills though.
I've been thinking about area curestate/wounds for docs for awhile too, and I think it would be hard to put in...in a way that made sense.
A CM's ranged ability stems from the ranged support specialist prerequisite...a nasty grind. I don' t think you can give docs ranged anything without requring that. And i think you can't give them ranged anything without encroaching upon the differentiating ability of a CM.
However, here's whatI think you CANable to do. Give master docs an multi curestate/firstaid....that works withing say 6m of the doc. No range, and limited area. So it's not really an area heal but more like a multi-strike on a healing front.
This needs to be limited to master docs I think or a cert system whereby someone has to be working towards master doc. This absolutely should not be a cert in the master surgeon line because there's too much power in that line alone currently.
I agree there should be an effective counter to CM area poisons. This could be it, but it can't be by giving docs ranged area abilities. These abilities also need to be increased to give a master doc a good percentage to remove a poison in one shot.
If you find this interesting, see my post in the medic board about new targetting commands that would synch well with this.

I don't know about ranged revives but it would be nice to see the CM and Doc abilities like med experimentation stack. 20 pts of experimentation would be worth mastering both professions IMO. On another note, the architechs are getting an elite elite profession. I wonder what we're gonna get if anything at all ![]()
hard for CMs to have a elite elite class because of the skill point requirements...same with doctors...
remember architect prereq isnt master artisan its just master engineering
Too many CM/Doc combos as it is.
Better off giving someone that's a combat-medic/combat profession a bonus.
like poisons that are shot froma gun instead of thrown. (maybe a bit less damaging )
