Ok, since CMs seem to be missing a correspondent right now, I've been goaded into seeing what I can do to help out.

So here is what I'll do. Post YOUR issues, ALL of them that you ahve for CMs, right here in this thread. Please do not try to rebut other issues that other folks are having, just list your issues.

I'll compile the completed list (maybe this weekend or Monday at the latest) then I'll post the compiled list up just like on the Docs' forum.

So hopefully some time next week we can have a voted on Top 5 that I will send in the stead of Filthy, presuming there is no replacement by then.

So post YOUR issues!

Okay I'll start.

1) Re-evaluate the CM subcomponents - Dispersal mechanism uses Conductivity which inert Petrol and Liquid petrol has none. Resilience Compound uses Heat Resistance which Radioactive and Reactive gas has none.

2) Add a little bit more Terrain Negotiation into the CM line of abilities. currently we only have +10 at Master.

3) Make Disease Stims more useful - seriously. It has absolutely no use in Non-PvP. And the only use it has in PvP since it can't actually "kill" anyone is to make them hurt so bad they have a longer downtime to come avenge their death. In regular PvP combat it has no bearing as the disease damage over time is so long.

*stops goading* Thanks Zar!

1) Fix the typos in schematics requirements AND Med use

2) Buff the effect of poisons/disease or, at the least, increase the range.

3) Add more bonuses to the profession as a whole

Fix the broken CM packs

Ok enough is enough fix the 13 chem release duration mechanisms for ranged E. Fix the 700+ CM med use on AOE diseases. Fix the advanced resilence mechanism so it loads. You guys did it for the architects no reason u cant do it for us.

Combat Medic Support line

Enough of this sry but CMs lose out on this round for fixes....thats BS. Do something with the combat line. Terrain Negotiation is a start but thats a slap in the face. First of all how does that make any sense at all in a class that doesnt even have scout as a prereq...But we still get no combat bonuses or moves even though we have to master a tree in marksman profession? Outside of CM med use, the support tree does nothing. Needs to have more content there otherwise it just looks like u are telling CMs that in order to use their main weapon, dots they need to master 2 trees (CM crafting and CM support). This is unacceptable unless u require BHs to need 2 trees for LLC or commandos 2 tree for each of their weapon classes. Suggestions to improve CM support: Defense bonuses, weapons speed and accuracy bonuses...accuracy while moving bonuses. Special moves of a defensive nature. More Terrain Negotiation. Also spread it out in the tree.

Viablility of Dots

OK Line of Sight is in....without arguing for removal of los again, Dots need to have longer range. Since we are required to no be in LOS and inside range to apply dots. we need longer range to compete. Also resist rates need to be examined.CM across the servers are having inconsistent results with resistrates. Even CMson the same servers have resist issueseven with similar packs. Since making DotsLOS in fact made them equivilent to a gun, resist ratesshould roughly equal miss rates for weapons. How about CM effectivenessplaying a factor in resist rates? The usefulness of disease needs to be examined. Right now many people consider them useful for nothing but greiving. One suggestion for disease could be make disease prevent healing and regeneration ofHAMs. Also, because of our increased visability due to LOS changes, in order to use our weapons we like every other combat class needs more defensive bonuses. This issue is directly linked to #2

Resources, Crafting and server differences.

Dots require resources. But resources are so different between servers that its hard to gauge the balance of the class...people on some servers are making extremely powerful dots while those on other servers are not making effective packs at all. We unlike the other classes that depend on special moves which have damage modifiers that are the same across servers, depend 100% on the quality of resources for our damage. Now this could be a boon or a drawback. But this is not anyway to base the viability of a class. Its extremely frustrating for some CMs to come to these boards with their poison stats and see other with poisons that are 2-3 times more effective then their just because they are on the "wrong" server. While its understood there will be variablity between servers, making a class complete dependant on the whims of resources shifts is complete unfair.

Lack of viability for non-Master CM

Granted that if you master a profession the benefits should be great. But thats not to say that until u become master that you are useless. However this is exactly the case for non-Master CMs. Because of the way the crafting tree in CM is set up, the ability to make more effective packs increases at 2x the rate as medic/doctor tree. This means that begining CMs see little benefits for being a CM until almost to master. This is just poor class development. The power of the lower packs could be ramped up then capped out to relieve this situation. Remember CM is an elite class that starts totally over again. New skills, new bonuses, new crafting tree. Thus an Novice CM is actually starting complete over again with his skills making it hard for him to be viable. The only other class that can even relate to this issue is the commando class. Since they too learn all new weapon classes and have zero skills carry over form their requirements...novice commandos are often weaker than master marksmans when using commando weapons. There must be a better way to ramp the power of the class in the lower levels without taking anything away from the upper CMs and masters.

AOE Stim heal issues

AOE heals missing faction pets...also TEF issues with AOE. Very easy to get tef as a covert CM with AOE Heals/

Mind Damage

What more needs to be said...rethink this...Mind damage has basically been the source of the screams of nerf against CM...LOS wasnt the problem Mind damage was...basically this two tiered system of healable and nonhealable pools has destroyed our class...thanks SOE...rethink it...before BH 2H melee and rifleman get equally destroyed...

Factories

They are broke...plain and simple...pull from crates...make more than 100 a day before crapping out...sick of having to redeed...fix it...

Lower resource requirements for packs

Way too many resources need to function as a CM...we need the same stuff as doctors and on top of that CM stuff too?! Make them less specific

Survey/Sample Issue

CMs like Medics need to sample/survey...even harder for us to do it since we use more skill points then doctors and medics and often dont have the skill points for artisan

TEF

Fix TEF system...need warnings when u are about to get one...might be hard to do with AOE stims but tef is so easy to get that its often unnoticed when u get it. I think i sneezed next to a covert imp while i was overt and he said bless u and he got a tef... Also look at revenge tef...there is no reason that when im overt that anyone should be able to attack me without me being able to attack them...this is just silly.

Faction Points

Rethink how PC pvp faction points are distributed...CMs are often the large damage dealers with mind AOE but get the least FP since they are usually in the back away from their prey and thus dont get DB...CM is a huge PvP class,fp means a lot to us...

PvE viability

Poisons the main weapon of a CM are underpowered in PvE compared to other elite combat classes. No xp for the damage done by poisons only med xp. Look at adding more abilities for the CM to be geared towards PvE.

Lack of Communication from the Devs

Self explainatory...

regarding crafting aside from just moving the poison/diease components to the combat tree i think it should be taken a step farther by replacing the BEC's CRDM's LS's different components that require the same ingredients like combat bio effect controller same as a BEC but uses cm line for crafting and is required to make ranged stimpacks that way the cm would be its own standalone class and you could make quality meds without it if you didnt want to take doctor

i was going master doc master cm anyways but i dont like the idea of doc being forced upon you if you dont want it(and still want to make your own high quality meds)

My additions from the Test Server -

Don't have much that hasn't been covered here but I will add in what I have before I hang up my master CM on test. Im pretty much fed up with the route the game is going now and canceled because it pretty much feels like a second job and between school/work I don't need a second job

AOE Stims - bug looks to be fixed but I need to try one more thing before my account is deactivated (for those who don't know you can get unlimited charges on aoe stims, no im not saying how if you don't already know it)

AOE Poisons/disease - still pretty close to worthless in PvE on test and diseases still broke.

Bah why say anything more not much difference between test and live with the CM Line.

Okay since everyone else is putting in suggestions. Here is mine. Give CM's a bio weapon cert at novice so they can equip a Bio rifle, pistol etc. This weapon has a disease/poison component to it that gives us some more combat in our med skills. I would say get an Enchanced weapon at master. I would also say move Medicine use to treatment speed or another line and put in a Combat XP tree that would give us some weapon skills for the bio weapon similar to the support line.

Anyways I still have a few days left on my account so if anyone has any questions let me know. And Im sorry I won't be around to test anymore. Warryc is another aspiring CM so he should be able to answer some questions once he gets master though I don't know how fast he is planning on doing it.

Love the bio weapon idea...

i think that would reduce the range issues make it a weapon...that uses powerups like weapons powerup which are crafted by CMs...

combat xp in the CM line is a toughy...im 1/2 for it and 1/2 against it...i still remember how much of a grind it was getting ranged master...dont know if i wanna go through that again...of course if this happened we would most definately deserve combat xp for applying dots in pve....

1/2 of me says heck ya...lets but the combat in there and put an end to this why should CMs get combat skills BS...would also make use like the other combat lines 3 profession xp lines 1 combat xp line...

i like it!
