Thread: Anyone going CM just for the poison/disease?
I'm having a real dilemma deciding where to go:
1) Combat Medic
2) Commando
3) CH/BE
I'm leaning towards commando right now (hoping they patch the damage soon) but CM is attractive to me because of the disease/poisoning.
Question: any sense in going CM just for that? Are poisons fast enough to do any real harm or do they server a useful function now? PvE vs PvP -- is the poison tree useful in both areas?
Thanks... =)
Poisons do ALOT of damage.
problem is you have to master CM to get them.
poisons do not do damage in terms of high dps like mentioned above.
poisons do a lot damage while you, as a CM, are avoiding direct combat. that is the key to be successfull.
and yes, i am going CM just for P/D.. all the healing i need to do i can make with normal StimD's. AE and Ranged are just eyecandy (to me)
guys you forgot to mention that a master CM is an uber PvPer.. but completely useless against mobs..
Poisons = Good vs. PvP..
you want PvE.. get a combat profession.. no not combat medic.. that's a serious misnomer -_-
Actually CMs are incredible PvEers. Our poisons are not that effective however our healing ability in combat in truly un equaled against mobs who do not always attack mind. I can keep a group of 20 alive very effectively which is why I chose the class.
I am also glad we have some punch in PvP but thats also at a very high price in maintainance costs, crafting time, and many many PvP deaths trying to get into range or once that mind grenade goes off.

That's why I chose to be a CM. To support my buddies that can't live by the 7m rule when we are in combat.
I pick at targets with my pistol, lay down supression fire, and gun ranged heals out to my comrades.
I do like the poison concept, but I haven't played with it much, and don't want to have to dig up a lot of exotics to make them. So I think I will max out my ranged healing and then max out the master wound treatment from the doc line to perform the res move.
I've been dabbling in PvP, so maybe I will finish off the tree, but for now I am concentrating on pistol so I can hold my own with that tool.
