I feel your pain. I choose to go master doctor/cm. Two of the hardest professions to acquire due to the lack of money and the high prices of resources. Every penny I made went back into making packs. Like you when I started out I met all kinds of good ppl and everyone has left. It was great sitting in the med center hearing stories of someones great adventure. It relieved the boredom. But all that's changed. ppl just come in yelling "Heal me!", which you do, and they run away. Nobody gets to know anyone. One of the main reasons I don't heal ppl anymore. It's a thankless job. I was already halfway though CM when they took out non-los which was the only reason to go CM. Now that it's gutted it's just a waste of tons of skill points. Might as well get a useful profession. Since I was almost there, I decided to finish it off and get Master. But the second I get it, I'm reclaiming all those skill points and going archy, which was what I originally wanted to be. I spoke with an archy who said he had more money than he could possibly spend on anything in the game. Apparently the DEVS are worried about the amount of money in the game. But it's the archy's that have it all. And with player cities coming out, guess who gets to build all buildings. Not Combat Medics!. I intend to be at the right place and the right time and make a killing. Who knows, maybe I'll have a place at the shore next to ya. Although fishing is out of the question! As a fellow Mon Cal, I can't believe you'd suggest such a thing. ://

I have not posted here in awhile. Soem of you will remember me as Daxonte, on ahazi server

I was one of the first Master Combat Medics on teh ahazi server (10 hours a day..no other life for the first month of release yarg!)

I surrendered all of my combat medic skills today. It was a huge relief. I really began to hate being a CM.

When I started playing I had a lot of friends online, and met a lot of nice people. I wanted to be a medic in order to help these people. In the two months since release, I have seen a lot of friends fall to the Dark Side. (They changed to Imperial cause they had AT-ST envy) I have seen friends give up thier combat skills to become archetects and armorsmiths. I have seen friends disapear, leaving only a simple mail to me (This game sucks, going back to solitare)

I have lost a lot of friends, and have attempted to make more...

I have grouped with lots of people to try and take on very difficult hunting mission. All of these hunts end the same. I save as many peoples lives as I can. (till the mind goes) I revive the dead. At the end of the mission, I am left with an empty backpack where all my stim packs used to be. All the hides and bones and meat went to teh scouts that assured me at the start of the mission that they would share. (when some of the nicer people actually share out harvested resources, I usually recive about 1% of the overall take) After saving all of these people, I am left with theardous task of grinding out more stim packs, and waiting for those **edit** factory parts.

Doing this caused me to have Evil thoughts. I began to daydream of joining with the groups that re-invite to hunt with them a few days later, as tho I had forgotten about broken promises of harvest shares. Joining these groups, and waiting until we are deep in the agro zone, then refusing to heal unlesss they /tip me. I have dreamed of withholding revives for tips. (this of course cannot be done, because "You cannot /tiphat while dead." try to tip someone after you are killed and before you clone. its very funny)

Since I am not an evil person, of course Idid not do any of those things. I simply surrenderedall of my skills. I have lost my desire to heal players.

I know that there are still a lot of good players out there. I hope that the rest of the Master CMs do not go thru what I have gone thru. I am just tired of trying to find them. My small group of friends have quit and or moved on to diferent things. I hope this does not happen to any of teh rest of you. I still like this game, and I see potential in it. I will keep playing, but not in combat support capacity any longer.

What does the future hold for me? I am not sure yet. I am thinking of opening a nice quiet cantina, and living out my retirement selling drinks by the seashore. Perhaps I will take up archetecture, and maybe some day run for office...

All in all, it was fun becoming a MCM. But I have no desire at this time to continue on in this proffesion. I met a lot of great Combat Medics when I first started, and I wish you all the best. Maybe one day you will be running off to help your friends, and see an old Blue and Pink Mon Cal standing by the river fishing, and you will take time outto stop in the cafe and have a drink for old times sake...

hehe...all the doctors, combat medics and medics should go on strike and not heal unless ppl pay. next or first we should post a set of fixed prices on the forums as a guide for everyone. i mean if an ID can charge for changing your hair cant we charge for something more important and costly??

just an amusing thought....

I think people need to drop being so **edit** dramatic, Its really not that big of deal.

My CM still owns in any situation, I have fun playing solo, or with my friends (despite all the lame bugs still around)

Maybe you just need to look at things from a new perspective, or get some new tactics and stop looking for sympothy on boards.

The thing that pisses me off is that everyone worships Revivers. They tip revivers too. When i'm in groups the leader would say "ok everyone dont forget to tip our good doctor for reviving us"

and then when i would tell the guys that without me (Novice Combat Medic 2,1,2,3) you guys would be dead at the first site of a tusken. (i go tusken hunting alot) the tuskens hit so hard. within 2 or 3 hits mostly any character would be dead. And compared to what other healers i see at the tusken i keep up with the healing. I dont even bring out my gun, i just heal. and i have saved ppl from dying so many times.

People have thanked me, but it pisses me off when i have told groups that without me they wouldn't live. "no we have a reviver" I told a group before as a joke "man i feel like God. i choose who lives or dies" "no you dont. thats a reviver." "what thats me too. If i dont heal you guys then your gonna die" "so a reviver chooses weither you live or die. he can leave you dead or bring you back to life" "yeah well if i dont heal you, you die, if i do heal you, you live" "so what"

and i'm not even a master combat medic. when i upgrade my speed i'll be chunking those stim packs so fast and from farther distance.

I'm near Master Fencer, 4 blocks away from CM; and I didnt know how much of a hard job that being a medic was..is!

I for one would tip everytime I recieved medical services..so during my 1st week of working in the Med Center I was taken back by the amount of times that I was not tipped.

In fact after totally healing this one guy (who by all standards was dead)..he got up and walked out w/o so much as a thank you! I thought to myself **edit**! I challenged him to a duel but my challenges went un-answered.

I think once Player Cities get started you'll see Medics get paid more..the major cities are like free clinics if you will..people tip what they have-dont give up on a rewarding profession just yet.

OOO YEAH! the medic center. please i've stopped healing ppl there unless i know them. the last person i healed at the MC was a major dumb a@@.

First off i was at the catina making stim packs or whatever, and this guy whos in there ask me if i can heal his wounds. so now i stop making my stuff so i can help this guy. but i wasn't a total a@@. before i started healing him i told him making stim packs and everything gets expensive, and that i dont really heal ppls damages anymore, but that i would do it for him since he asked. i told him that i need to be tipped if i am gonna heal him. he says ok.

so i take my time and heal him. then he gets up and says "thank you" and walks away. ooo no i then give him a tell and tell him "thanks for the tip" and the stupid a@@ tells me "no prob. thank you for healing me" then i tell him "wow your clueless" then he says "what? i dont get it" and just leaves. OOOO man i just wanted to tell him to go F himself, but i just descided not to heal anyone anymore. cuz they are all takers.

EVERY time i go to the catina to heal my mind i tip. and its not like the dancers have to buy anything to dance. they just dance. but i still tip, now why the hell dont ppl take medics more serious?

Sorry to see you go

But I can definatly feel your pain. When I first started playing SWG I was gonna be a BH, not even realizing that every single other player wanted to BH also, when I saw the incredible amount of people with BH I decided to go CM.

Now way back when (lol...game only out a couple months) I would travel the galaxy (Gorath server) and do a search, looking for other CMs to ask advice get training and the such and I found VERY FEW people out there in the CM profession. Now I see literally hundreds of people out there with a CM title.

Most people do not realize the incredible amount of cash that is needed (factory, resources, harvestors) to maintain a workable CM and so the demand for 'HEAL ME' goes with either the player running out of the med center without tipping you, or just go LD on you. It is a thankless job that many people take for granted, but I do have my few friends who as long as I keep em alive LUV me (kidding guys).

So I will stick with CM for a little while longer and see what happens, I probably will still be as broke as I am now when cities and vehicles come out, but I will hold all the healing in my hands.....

Have a drink on me, and enjoy the fishing..
