The results of my experimenting were Very disheartening. I threw 16 poison As at various mobs that conned from light blue to white to me. The first one I tried to throw was an area poison A, I lack the comabt medic use to use it ( oh yes, before I get too far I have all the first tier comabt medic skills and advanced support). Ok I thought this is kinda annoying, I guess I gotta go grind some med xp so i can use this stuff. Then I thought wait a sec, as a novice medic I could use things you need organic chemistry I to make this seemes a bit backwards to me that I need 2 skills above my crafting lvl to use use the stuff now. Then I move on to the mission target I have (a dwarf nuna lair I got by equipping an Ion rifle cause I have no rifle skills) and throw some poison around, all three are resisted. so i pull my pistol and cap them all in one shot. Being a smuggler as well I always have my pistol handy. Then I blow up the lair and the other spawns and head back to town. I see a Cu Pa, which cons white (the nunas were light blue) and throw a health poison at it, it falls over prey quick cause my insticts take over and i body shot 2 it to death oops, bad science. so then i see some womprats. they con white too, so i throw the poison at it, and meraculusly the first one effects it. then i take a shot and feighn death to watch the dmg. Two ticks of 21 dmg each then it's all better. So i stand up and do four health shots, three of them hit and the stacked bleeds do 384 dmg per tick, it died before I got two bodyshots off. So onward i go untill I see a rill, a dark blue con havent tried one of these yet so I procede to throw every remaining poison I have at it to no avail. In frustration I do two bodyshots and turn it to a little white x on the radar.

Then I go to town and spend a while in the bar helping a few newbys out with there battle fatigue and some wounds and throw some stims at a few dancers. And I hear from one of the guys in the bar that a comabt medic poisoned a group of 5 people and killed every one of them, so since I have my novice combat medic title up I must be prety serious in a fight. I told him that unfortunatly the novice smuggler title I never have up is more why I can handle myself in a fight along with the ranged stims that keep my psychotic friends alive when they charge into a group of yellow agro mobs guns blazing at every target out there. So i get to thinkin, why is my elite profession that all i need is pistol and unarmed to four better in a fight than a profession that takes 59,000 combat xp,a master novice profession, and more medic xp than novice doctor? Oh yeah I almost forgot Im as far up the smuggler trees as I am the comabt medic ones, except forthe underworld tree wich is an issue for a different board.

Q: I tried poisoning Kreetle, but it's faster for me to stomp on him then to kill him, poisons are useless ?
A:
For some reason low level mobs have incredibly high resist rate, but do not worry, your poison will work just fine against other players and high level mobs, even against Kryat dragons.

I only enter PVP combat in bar fights with bare knuckles. Of course Im glad that poison works for those of you who use it in PVP but the last time I was involved in PVP I still found that a heath bleed and a few body shots are good enough to make most people who agree to an unarmed fight an then pull a weapon feel prety stupid and very dead.

The other thing to consider is what are the stats on your poisons? Are you using good ingrediants? Granted A-poisons are pretty weak regardless, but they can be a little better with better stats.

I still think it's prety silly to have an offinceive ability on a combat class that requires ranged support IV and mastery of a basic profession be less effective than than an attack in a basic profession regardless of what I use to make them.
