Thread: Question About achieving 12 pt CM status

Hi all, im new to the crafting game as i have been a melee person for over a year, but now im a Master CM and i wanna know how many experimentation skill tapes i will need to aquire to be a 12 pt Combat medic. Do i have to get a bunch of Clothing attachments until the mods all ad up to +12 Combat Medicine Experimentation or does 12 point CM refer to how many crafting experimentation points you have? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

The phrase "twelve point CM" refers to how many points you will be able to craft with once you have +20 (10 per point) experimentation mods in clothing attachments. All mod additions in tape form cap at 25 however, so once you have +20 in tapes you will not be able to get further tape benifit.

Welcome to the CM group. 12pts means your skill mod for CM experimentation is at least +120. If you look in your skill mods box, at master you will notice that you are +100 or you have 10 points to use towards crafting experimentation. Each exp. point is received by gaining 10 additional skill modifier points towards experimentation, hence you would need at least +20 more experimentation skill modifier points to gain the two extra points towards crafting experimentation. one more quick question guys. If i get enough tapes to get my Combat Medicine experimentation up to +108 (so a +8 CM Experimentation tape) could i use the food Bespin Port (gives you +12 experimentation) to get my 12 points of crafting experimentation?

Nope. Bespin port boosts your chances at an amazing success, but it does not apply to how many points you have.

Any truth to the rumor that 25 exp and 25 assembly gives you better chances at amazing successes and less chance of failure? I heard that the extra invisible +5 of each is included in the random roll.

I don't know if you're planning on buying or looting the attachments, but I've had several experiences with Lord Nyax dropping >+10 CM Exp. tapes. Good luck to you.

Supposedly, yes. The extra +5 to experimentation helps with your experimentation rolls, and the assembly helps with the one assembly role per item. With assembly, there is no magic increment, like the +10 per point with exp. There is just a cap at +25.

Lord nyax = spawns every 3h45mins in corellia nyax cult POI. Reserve some time and/or hope to overdamage others... or just luck.

Another question: Is there any difference between +120exp and +125exp?
