Seems we now need line of sight to heal a person now as well as apply our special lovin'

*sigh* as someone who pretty much just focuses on the HAM bars of my groupmates, not their location I find this very frustrating. Almost as frustrating as the fact that I didn't see any note of this in the patch notes.

now the only healing abilities we have over a Master Medic in a closed in area (like fort tusken) are area heals, and the new rough your mind up /mindheal.

I think I'm gonna go sit in the corner and cry now.

Yep. This makes places like the Tusken Fort much more difficult. You will almost have to train someone to stay very close so you always have a target that is within LOS, then allow the area effect to heal everyone else through walls (assuming that the area effect still does not require LOS).

This is going to get worse when they put in terrain LOS (which apparently test center already has). Then we have to worry about hills as well.

as far as i've heard, the terrain LOS code got pulled out because of possible exploits.

yup, felt the sting of this all week as my guild has been working tuskan fort for loot drops.

as far as i can tell, in tight spaces, im just a medic with an area effect (which ignores LOS). the best thing, and i mean the best thing, about combat medic was the fact, i could hang out, and do my job of SUPPORT by healing from anywhere. again, another "fix" that puts combat medics in the front lines again.

next, we will have to touch someone to give them mind poison cooties and my ranged
area effects will have LOS as well. terrible issue.

actually, for a while TC had LoS code that accounts for Z axis, and i couldn't heal someone just uphill/downhill from me, using *any* type of stim... which was really annoying, since now you gotta chase people around to heal them, else they start whining about heals. the code didn't go live because of the possible exploit.

tonight I played on Dathomir.

I won't do that again. Nor will I go to endor. Often I couldn't even heal when they were within the novice medic 7m range because there was a leaf or a twig in the way. Not to mention, Rancors get REALLY upset with you when you heal their targets now. since you have to be right up on them to heal, it isn't a very healthy situation.

This really saddens me. I really liked this profession, but I just don't see how its worth the skillpoint cost now.
