Combat Medic Archive

hello everybody im just toying with the idea of a combat medic/carbineer would this be viable for PvP ? i know the doctor/carbineer is supposed to be deicent for PvP as well as the CM/Doc but im really wondering if a Combat medic/carbineer would stand up and be....playable in PvE as well... any imput would be apreicated. thanks.

The only problem I have with carbines is most often the gun will cause more damage to you than your enemy. Although, the damage and specials that work for the carbine I find more effective that what I have received for pistol.

i'm usually ok in PvE, and i'm not a PvP person so i don't know much about that.

Im working on 0302 carbiner, master CM, and 0441 doc at the moment, and so far I rather like it. You will get a AoE shot with your carbine at Novice Carbiner, and it works great for killing things with one hitpoint left after being hit with an area poison. However as the above posters said, the carbines do cause huge amounts of damage to us, but as a doc I can buff and heal myself, so its not a very big issue for me.

Im not sure how viable its going to be in solo pvp, but it looks rather promising in mass pvp. Not that too many people pvp anymore after the recent changes to insurance and item decay.

Master CM / Master Carbinier

I love my carbine/cm combo...been a Mcm over 4 months and it rocks in PvP

Carbinier skills in PvP are decent....kinda hard to mix both as the chargeshot seems to give a good amount of delay and so does throwing poisons..(please get rid of animations)...but generally you won't mix and match beyond the initial attack.

PvE is easly I can solo just about anything with my carbine skills...only time CM skills are needed is if I decide to bring my cowardly gurrek along I can range heal him.

I am a master carbineer master combat medic.

The ham cost on the higher carbine skill are massive. costs around 90-130 ham per shot usually. You can heal the damage so it's not that bad. The problem is some of the high end carbine skills simply do not work. for example the area KD doesn't work. scattershot2 is supposed to be cone, I don't think it is. legshot3 does same as legshot2 but with a higher ham cost and doesn't cone. things like that are the bane of the carbineer at the moment.

If you are bothered by unfinished skills I wouldn't bother. As for pvp there are some advantages, there is currently no timer on chargedshot, crippleshot2 and burstshot2 are quite good on the damage curve, actionshot is nice to stack with action poisons.

pros: awsome single knockdown, good damaging shots, good posture changing shots.

cons:Massive ham costs and broken skills. Little variaty in weapons.

heh, i'm planning on mass ordering action cost/health cost powerups, and getting another weapon for another slice. currently i'm using a 30%+ action cost powerup (secondary is min damage), and it really helps.

what about Master Swordsman / 4-4-4-0 CM?

Would that be a good idea to play PvP and PvE?
