Thread: TKM/CM template

Im a TKM/ BH and i was wondering if it would be worth it to go CM. I am force sensitive so there goes 24 skill points off the bat if i plan(which i do) on going jedi. If my calculations are correct i could only get one full branch and 1 skill on another branch of CM. Is it worth it or no? Thanks for input in advance

Not woth it imo


to use CM effectively, you need at least 4004.


Others disagree with me, though.

Well... that depends, you will have to go 1004 which will give you 75 CM use but only 20 effectiveness. You will be able to use most poisons and diseases (except area C)

But the will only do 1.2xEffectiveness rating, which won't impress much unless you buy really good poisons (which I thnk would be a waste on you because of your low effectiveness)

What I'd do is dropp meditation to 2 which will at least allow you to have 4004 CM (effectiveness 75) or drop it alltogether for 4204 CM and gain some throwing speed.

BTW Yes it is true, I've tested it myself, poison only ticks once every TEN seconds!

dont do it. I agree, without 4004 you will not be effective.

Hi, I've just returned to the game after a year break and I've been trying to get used to the CU. I've always loved the TK profession. I think I've re-grinded it about 6 times because everytime I drop it, I regret it.I came back and respecced into BH/MCM since I heard it was great in the CU, but I really don't like it, I'm more of a melee guy.


SO, I was thinking about going TKM/MCM, for the healing and extra damage/states. The main problem i see with this is that it leaves 23 skill points that are hard to place and still be useful. So, I was thinking TKM/MCM/Medic 0440/FS Combat Prowess 0044. Which looks pretty good to me healing, DoT's, good defense. Any TK/CM's out there? How does it work for you?

Im Master TK/CM. This template is great for both Pve and PvP as a Support Proff, for Solo PvP and PvE its not bad, but TK alone has a low Dmg output. If u know of a good Bio Engineer, get some enhancers for Bacta Toss/Spray, and DOT enhancers, and you will do ok during PvP Solo, just dont use too much mind in the beginning, try and spread out ur CM Debuffs and Dots.

Also, when u hit master TK, grab yourself a pair of Katarn Knucklers from Kashyyk, and even a pair of Necrosis Nightblades off of NK-3 Necrosis'. I concentrated on DMG and Spd when getting them sliced, and use SAC powerups, I have a hard time running out of action w/this combo.

FOr your Debuffs, Enhancers arent necessary, they only lengthen the Debuff period. But i always start a fight vs. any melee/Jedi with Paralyze, and then hit them with Thyroid Rupture, this will cause -40.00 points on their attack speed and give u and edge in the fight.

For a full template, I actually went TKM/MCM/Nov. Pikemen for the +15 General Melee Accuracy. However, I later came to find that Nov. Swordsman has a more powerfull attack move, HeadHit. So I am now currently MTK/MCM/Nov. Swords and I love this temp. Hope this helps.

for the extra skill points, i'd recommend going up the pikeman tree that will give you the area kd. i think its the pikeman xx4x tree, but i could be wrong with that. i unfortunatly have them invested in fs skills, which are mostly useless imo

I did CM/TKM 4xxx commando...not bad temp...but i didnt think tkm could do enuff damage as stand alone proffession debuffs are nice thou

Thanks for the advice. It seems like a nice temp to me, but I'm wary of the damage output. I'm not sure that CM makes up for it and worry that using DoTs will just waste mind that I will need for healing without adding enough benefit. I'm torn now from going TKM/MCM/Novice (Pike or Sword) or TKM/MD/Pike0400 (for AOE, I think that's where it is). I'm probably going to end up doing this for FS grinding, so I think having the AoE of Pike will be more beneficial than DoTs and CC in PVE.

I currently play TKM/MCM, Novice Scout 1000. I use the N.Scout for terrain Neg, while using the remaining SP in FS branches.


I love my template, I can tank and kill most jedi. Defenders = me die, and MHealers= me die. Besides that, I am pretty powerful.

i am a TKM/MCM and when i finnished my temp i had the same prob with the left over skill points so what i did was went commando 4xxx for the defense bonuses then i went combatprowess (melee acruacy) the temp works great for me, you really gotta know how to use it though. also without a decent set of knucklers u wont do any decent damage. i meen when i fight with my katarn knucklers i can pwn a my tkm/pike/doc friend but without the knucklers i lose in like the first minute, anyway bottom line if u use the temp or a similar temp get a good weapon and learn to use your temp.

Well I tried I liked it but I by far like my current temp of tkm sword xx34 fencer xxx4 doc 4xx4....the binding strike is like the action debuff on cm...I lose out on tramitize mind debuff..but i wasnt feeling like i was doing enuff damage to take avadtage of it anyways...thyroid rupture is what i missed most...other then that i find my current temp much the superior then my former....
