Howdy all,

I'm currently a master pistoleer and master medic, with some basic CH skills. I'm considering giving up my CH and scout skill points to put them into CM. I know CM's can be lethal in PvP groups, so that's why I'm considering this and everyone and their grandma seems to be some sort of CH. So what tips/hints/suggestions advice could you give me if I want to be a CM? I'm aware of some of the broken schematic issues and some exploits, but would like some more general info. Why do you like CM? Why do you hate it? Thanks.

Basically I was really down on the CM till I hit master. Now I truely feel the power of the class. One on one PvP i do great. I toss a mind poison and open fire with everything I have as a Maser Pistoleer. In PvP groups is where I shine. Poison rocks!!! It can totally change the tide of battle. Not to mention all the great group heals.

Couple of things I wish for. More terrain neg and an easier way to target people in battles for heals and for attacks. Other then that I am totally satisfied with my character. Im a Master Comabt medic/Master Pistoleer. Gives me flexability to be offensive or defensive. I enjoy it.

Tip:

Put all your skill ppints towards going up the CM support line all the way first. Then spread your XP over range and speed.

Ummm, I'd say just a few other things,

1 - Be Patient

2 - Find a Brawler type or a large group to travel with (mass med xp especially if the group is full of newbs)

and 3 - Find a factory to use and be ready to have a lot of different types of stims and medpacks in your inventory, to heal and to harm (Harming is my favorite )

Before you begin, realize that CM is a very very strange class. CM is the profession where atrisian meets combat. All of our weapons can only be crafted by us. That means you either find another CM who will reliably supply you with stims and poisions that are good quality without charging too much or you will find it a necessity to go and spend quite a bit in survey, terrian negoation and possibly some in hunting. I myself am stuck with only novice pistol because of this. I spend maybe 20 minutes a session in PVP but up to 2 hours maintianing my harvesters, searching for the host of strange resources and working my factories so that I can have decient materials to craft my stuff. Non of which by the way can be sold to the general public for profit. Either become a resource trader like me or don't even try and keep most of yourpistol and make your money there because cash from the CM tree is scarce.

Having said that, I'm very pleased with CM, just know that finishing the CM tree leaves you with a very focused skill set that can not stand by itself usless you have other CM friends to support you or you are willing to spend alot of time and effort acting more like artisan than like a combatant.
