Thread: Difference between Potency and Effectiveness in poisons?

Hi there, everyone...

I'm trying to determine the difference between Potency and Effectiveness on a Poison C. The two schematics I've created to test are P59/E225 and P107/E167. Can anyone tell me specifically what the two of those affect, and how? What are you desired stats for P/E?

All feedback is appreciated,

Potency pretty much equates to a percentage of chance to effect the target. The higher the better.

Effectiveness is used to calculate damage per tick at (effectiveness)*((CM Effectiveness skill/100)+1) per tick

Thanks, Dlobok.

Would you think that the 107 Potency is overkill then? What do you shoot for in stats for your C's?

I am going to be running a test with Zarlor checking the effectiveness of the Cure packs against the C poisons. I made 3 packs one i dumped all experimental points into effectiveness, I fully experimented on potency for the second, and the third i split down the middle. The poisons were made with normal componets so they are not the 500 dmg per tick type (prolly around 325 per tick). I will post the results of the test with all the stats when I am able to get with Zarlor with this

I was going to ask the same question... but from what I've observed, the poision with higher potency does more damge per tick (105 potency vs 64 potency) while the effectiveness wat 84 and 165. (Grenade 1 = 105P, 84 effect. and did more damage per tick than did grenade 2 at 84 potency and 165 effect). They really need to elaborate on the combat medic grenades.
