I heard rumors of this, that CM's can poison/disease corpses and it will come out on the player when they "revive" I tested this tonight with a friend and yes it's true. I emplore all CM's and everyone else to bug this. This is wrong, this is an exploit. I also encourage CM's to not use this tactic. Aoe poisons, i can understand (we can't help if a corpse get's poisoned when it's in range- though this should be bugged as well) but we all know disease is unusuable as an aoe atm... that means CM's are targeting the corpses. Please please do not exploit this bug. I say this because it's wrong and will endanger yourselves to getting banned and also make the class look bad as a whole.

I haven't gotten around to testing this, but when the person clones, is the poison/disease active? Or is it on the delay timer (as if recently incapped)?

they come in overt...you kill them, do this too them...chances are they don't TEF for the next two hours.

As a combat medic, and someone who has had this happen to them, I do agree this is an obvious exploit and would give any CM's doing it a hard time.

My vote is not to do this, but hey do what you gotta do.

I'm not.

Some call it an exploit and it very well may be, but it's the only way to stop clone wars. I admit it's frowned upon but when the same people keep clonong and teffing for hours, something has to be done. The only cure to stop teff wars is to do enough damage to take them out of combat long enough for their tef to expire.

Diseasing a corpse is rediculous. It's a bug and an exploit. The fact that you CM's are defending it and saying it's the only way to stop the revenge TEF is bunk and you know it. I'm really ashamed. They guy's dead. So what if he comes back and kills you. You can come right back out and disease him if you feel so strongly about ending it. But putting a poison or disease on a corpse is stupid.

it's an exploit to disease a corpse of course.

ill tell you what justifies doing it sometimes though.....

disease is worthless. it takes forever to hit. the only way to have disease work is to disease only then burst run away and hope noone kills the person in the 20 minutes it takes for it to do anything.

after you ress in the clone center and you are still diseased it doesnt even hit you for a while. go find a **edit** doctor, that's what theyre for. the disease gives you plenty of time to get it cured before it even does any damage.

maybe if they fixed disease so it wasnt completely worthless garbage and made it hit hard and fast like flamethrowers do, then it wouldn't need to be used in this way.

btw, incase anyones reading.....if a pistoleer uses a stim pack on themselves or others, does it take 10 seconds for them to shoot their gun again? fror cm's to only have one timer for all their abilities is stupid.

Maybe the issue is getting confused. Disease is generally considered to stop the TEF war, and I agree with using it (only one disease). However, I also agree that diseasing a corpse (i.e. after you DB the player) is an exploit that should not be used. You should only be able to disease a player that's still standing or incapp'ed.

I say do it.

if you drop a disease on a person, 9 times out of 10 they will /duel their buddy who DBs him before the disease even ticks. the ONLY way to use the current Disease Packs to ANY effect is to drop it on a corpse.

I fully support this tactic. If commando's can flame all your life away, and one shot, and do massive one shot wound damage, then why can't we do this? It is obviously designed to let you do this isnt it? I mean has anyone tried bleeding a corpse? It doesnt work, but you can do this, so they obviously meant it too. Seriously, how do you call this an exploit? We spread disease, poison, and discontent. That is our point. We are terrorists. What the hell is the point of disease anyways? This keeps us useful in full scale work, to poison and disease people.

In regular solo pvp, this is hateful, but so is camping corpses, so is one shot kills, so is eyeshot, and mind shot. But, hey, we do this. If you don't then don't. But unless they release official word about this being an exploit, do not complain about it. I mean hell, how cruel is AOE Mindpoison? How cruel is it to aoe tef people? Seriously, stop your bitching, use your tools, and be happy about it. If it happens to you, it's part of the game.

Diseasing a corpse is distasteful at best.

Look guys, all is fair in love and war, at least that is what my girlfriend says.

Anyway, in modern combat, disease is an effective weapon, why the hell do you think we were taking out Saddam, it is to be feared and respected. Now in terms of game play diseasing a corpse seems a little far fetched, but of course so does reviving a corpse. I know we can do it sometimes but not at the rate we do it in Star Wars.

Why is disease and poison so effective and feared today? Because it is a mass weapon that does not kill immediately. It takes your enemy off the field and requires another person, perhaps even two people to care for the wounded. This wins wars.

Diseasing a corpse is an effective way to get someone out of the battle for an extended amount of time, yeah it sucks, but the capability exists both on the rebel and the imperial side so it should effectively be even. It really is not that hard for a doctor to remove the disease anyway, so what does it matter. In truth combat medics and their disease and poison skills make doctors an even more desired commodity on the battlefield. And anything that gets people out and playing in my mind is a good thing.

Just my 2 credits.
