Ok, this is something that happened to me a while back, I rarely play with my CM character anymore but I was quite annoyed when this thing happened to me.

The bug was something like this: I'd select a musician/dancer in the cantina, within 10m or less range, and use a ranged (area) stim C to heal him/her and the entertainers around. Whenever I did this I'd get a "Target is out of range for this action" system message, even if I was at 0 meters. The stim would still be thrown and the people around would be healed, but the targeted entertainer would not be healed.

So as the topic says, has anyone else ever experienced this? I believe this happened to me when JTL was launched, which brought the tef/aggro display system change (remember that prior to JTL when you attacked something, be it a player character, lair or NPC, it would never turn red in the radar or overhead map display). It also happened to me during combat, for example while trying to heal group members (not necessarily during PVP).

I should have submitted a /bug then, to be honest I don't remember if I did or not, what I did for sure was to stop using area Cs and switch to ranged Ds, even though the area Cs were by far my favourites. By the way, if anyone did the Aurilian defense quest (where you have to protect it from incoming sith thugs/pirates/etc) this was specially noticeable.

Last but not least, I hope this has not been posted already a zillion times, I did a quick browse through the previous pages and no one seems to have mentioned it. Also, it is not listed in the "CM issues submitted to the devs" thread.

Nearly offtopic, the weirdest bug I experienced with area Cs was to manage to get an opposite faction TEF. I do remember when this happened, it was during Halloween's special event in Coronet, where some high'ish end mobs were spawned there (and nearly all the AFK spam bots where killed haha).I tried to heal someone from my faction with an area C, healing a lot more people aswell. As soon as I did this, for some reason a person from my own faction turned red in my radar, and 5 seconds later I was walking out of the cloning facility.

I had this problem throwing area poisons as well. Doesn't happen all the time, but I have had it happen for area heals/poisons. I also had a problem with dragging. I kept getting a system message saying YOU HAVE TO BE WITHIN 0 METERS TO DRAG, so then I would go to 0m and ofcourse nothing would happen...

1. Yes, I have had the same "target not in range" issue, but rarely.

2. You can get the same faction TEF if you use an area stim on a jedi that is being hunted by a same faction bh. You wind up healing both of them the first time but then the Jedi can attack you.

3. One other odd thing about area stims I have seen is that if I dont target anything then I only heal myself. While if I target someone next to me I will heal them, myself, and everyone else in range.

Ok, thanks for replying everyone. I tried the last build in testcenter, before going live, and decided to get master doctor master CM "for a change" heh. My current character (not the TC one) is a CM/doc mix, but in TestCenter I needed to craft stuff first, to use them later (thanks to those really nice blue frogs). So I crafted some decent area B's for my personal use, around 490 power was all I was able to get without good resources/adv. components. So back to the topic... I decided to act like a real combat medic, healing here, healing there, heal this mind, heal that dizzy, heal those fires, etc. Needless to say, the area B's worked like a charm, until everyone targeted me, then I was dead a second afterwards. It was fun trying to keep people alive...

Ok, so I then decided to get my same exact template, master rifles, 3040 doc, 0004 CM, using a really nice sliced jawa rifle. To my surprise, area B's stopped working on people properly. Sometimes they would heal, sometimes they wouldn't. Sometimes they would heal everyone but the targeted person... kind of messy. I didn't have this problem earlier when I was master CM (plus master doc, though I think that's irrelevant). Perhaps it has something to do with the healing range? like, if my healing range skill (0-X-X-X in my case) is below the stim's range, it won't work properly?
