BecauseI have no idea on how to come up with mine

I'd like to be able to do something beside Ranged-Stims A (and really crappy ones too)

Well in my experience using non-Advanced components I can make ranged stims at 700+ healing, 25 Range, and 40+ charges. For doing most healing these are fine, it takes a few if you are healing pets, but since the resources are easy to find its not really a big expense. The poisons really benefit from the advanced components, and the effect is very noticeable.

I usually go to the Coronet Bazaar. On Intrepid it seems to have the best stocked bazaar in the galazy. I'm guessing that because Corellia has the most space lanes from it (you can get to more planets from Corellia than any other place) most people spend time there, thus the bazaars get full. Aside from the organics (though usually I can find Dantooine Berries and Lokian Wild Wheat) I've been able to find every last one of the resource for the advanced components. Keep in mind these will be expensive, typical prices are 500 units for 3000 credits. Just keep an eye on the resources stats though, its not worth buying resources at 6 Cr/Unit if the overall quality is garbage.

If you want to try and gather your own, try going to http://www.swgcraft.com they have a fairly accurate resource list for what is available on all servers. You don't get the locations to harvest them from, but at least you know what is worth looking for. Its definately cheaper this way, but requires a lot more in game work. Hiring Artisan (if you can't survey) to get you a waypoint, flying back and forth to how many planets gathering resources and paying upkeep and depositing power. You'll have to decide if the bazaar price is worth the convienience or not. I don't have the free time to maintain harvestors on just about every planet so I pay the bazaar price, unless the resource spawns right outside my front door.

I team up with a couple other Docs in my PA, and we all have large size harvesters to dump on the resources when they spawn. We end up getting thousands of units at a time, thus we can really mass produce the stuff people want (Wound B's, StimB's, 30med use StimC's, Buff D's, etc) and can sell them for cheap, while still making a good profit.

Use whatever you can find in quantity thats good quality. Look at the requirements of the schematic you want to make, and use that as your guide. If you want to make C disease packs with high power as your primary goal, you can look at exactly what in your resources will determine the power. Talking about exactly what we use is kind of irrelivant, since the schematic itself tells you what to use...the only variation will be in slots that only require organic/inorganic, which you will not encounter if you're making high level meds. To chose these, find resources that have high values in the stats that affect your final combination. Use advanced parts whenever you can, and if you EVER see resources that can be used in an advanced part, get it, because an advanced part made with very low quality resources will generally be better than a standard part made withvery highquality resources. Thats pretty much it. I really like the crafting system in SWG- it manages to be both very simple and quitecomplicated all at the same time. It's all just a matter of familiarizing yourself with the system and your schematics.

I use what the schematic calls for. High level meds call for specific resources

ok, but when I look for quality, should I look at Potential Energy? Average Quality or what?

I find this site very useful, it has an advanced crafting quite that will tell you precisely how to figure out which combination of attributes will give you good results.
