Thread: Help me see your point
Hmmm....Rifleman + Concealshot macro (/concealshot;/concealshot;/concealshot;/peace;/pause 3;/macro namehere)=dead Krayt. Takes awhile, but it is possible for OTHER profs. to do it. Carbineer/BH can do it as well. Given enough time, and some decent skill, many profs. can do it.
MCM + Pistoleer + Medic = me getting pounded by just about anything in PvE. I don't use AoE in PvP, don't want to spoil the fun for everyone, but geez, I get incapped and killed all the time in PvE. If anything our PvE damage should be way higher.
Violet Vette, Radiant
MCM, watch me toss this poison, oops....Storm Trooper has incapped you, Storm Trooper Death Blows you
Yeah, way over powered, not!
who cares about PvE
what I think most peopel want changed is PvP.
Im all for CM's being even slightly more powerful in PvE...in PvE they do less damage than many other professions do as far as flat-rate DPS.
but in PvP.....its a WHOLE different story.
and heck even in the latest publish they nerfed bleeds and fire DoTs again so that you could only have 1 on a player, i believe. 1 bleed, 1 fire DoT of each type.....you used to be able to stack say healthbleed 1 and healthbleed 2..i dotn thinkt hats possible anymore.
so whatw e have is.....CM's are able to apply stacked poisons (unless they were hit by the above nnerf as well) to every pool multiple times
they do not suffer PvP reduction every other class does
there is no resist to it unless you use specialized foods
it ignores armor
in short CM poisons ignore EVERY damage reduction that EVERY other combat class now suffers. And no one has ever in all the arguments i have bene in...EVER been able to justify it to me.

We have justified it to you, even though it is not our job to justify anything to you. The problem is you just out-of-hand reject any reasonable explanation anyone has given you.
I know the CM community on many occasions has posted this information, but allow me to do it ONE MORE TIME!!
Consider a normal poison. Mine right now with the resources i have been able to get on Ahazi tick for right around 570 points.
Poisons tick once every ten seconds. So when you divide this out we have 57 points of damage every second. Now when you subtract 75% from 57 you will get an astounding 15 points of damage every tick. A fully buffed player can regenerate faster than the poison can tick.
So you see, THAT is why we are not effected by the 75% penalty that everyone else is effected by. Even with armor on a pistoleer can spam point blank area of effect attack and do more damage than that. Carbineers can do more damage to all the players in their cone than we can.
Now, that is not to say that we do not think there should be some sort of innoculation pack, food, buffs, or some other thing that would raise your resistance to poison. It should NOT however go anywhere close to making you immune to them.
So there you go, spelled out in front of you, the very reason WHY we are not affected by the 75% damage resistance that you are always harping on and on and on about. That is the justification for it. If you played a combat medic sometime you might understand a little better where we are all coming from when we say that we are balanced. Nothing needs to be done to our class. Other classes, and other game mechanics might need a little tweaking, but the class itself is not broken and not overpowered.
