Well I see a lot of people asking why do Combat Medics Poison and Disease in PvP. Well Lets put a few things together, not all Combat Medics like chasing down a person to kill them once they have been poisoned because 9 out of 10 times the 'victim' will run once being poisoned with a good tick, not all Cm's have the ability to shoot ranged being either doc/cm fencer/cm tkm/cm and so on. So what does that leave us to do? Disease/Poison because even if you run we know you arent going to be able to med it off once you get out of range of the fight and we know if you do manage to you will be out of the fight for awhile being you will also have to med the wounds off. There are several logical reasons why we choose this method and I will list a few. What stops tef wars in PvP? Wounds what gives you wounds? Disease/Deaths. Theres many many reasons why we should and do use poison and disease and no reason why we shouldnt. For the people who say "WHY GRIEF US WITH DISEASE!!!!111" If you consider that greifing whats about people that use fire dots/poison dots/disease dots all on weapons? What about the ones who set your mind on fire with a weapon then mind poison you with another? Is that not the same thing that we are doing? So please dont get all 'OH CM's GRIEF SO MUCH WITH DISEASE/POISON' because for the fact and for the record we are not the only ones who do it. Sorry just wanted to rant a little It gets very old very quick to be called every name in the book because your a cm and you 'Grief' for throwing disease/poison.

true but i dont duel hardly ever and if i do i wont use cm because i fair fine on my own with tkm... But i rarely see a 1v1 situation in pvp so i do disease knowning if it sticks with the poison i wont have to worry about him coming back really quick and being a factor in my death

When I first started pvping in SWG, I tried pvping withoutusing the fencer/def stacker template and dots...and quickly learned that I was alone.... and cloning. If your enemy isn't spamming dizzy/kd...he's slamming you with dots.
Sooo.....I adapted. Now I open with a CM mind poison, mind fire and mind poison daggers then head shots with my scythe. Seems to be pretty effective in the few chances I've had to pvp lately. IMHO, diseases just don't seem to be effective in most pvp encounters....other than large, drawn out battles/base defense. Also, I try to be selective about who I multi-dot...."friendly enemies", duels, etc I'll normally just use scythe...which usually doesn't end well for me....but then again,I don't feel I *have* to win every single fight.
But to your point....disease is a completely legit attack...but it's effectiveness in a brief 1v1 is why many feel it is used to cause grief...poison stacks and mind fire weapon dots are far moreeffective. I doubt there's many at allwho'd argue itis griefing in large scale battles/base defenses.
Situational, imho.

Is there any practical PVE use for Disease? Other than xp.

Your better off using poisons for exp. In pve diseases are good on high end mobs like elders and kryates, anything that have very high resists. They may be slow but once the mob begins to aquire lots of bf the ticks are quite powerful.
