I plan to be MCM with 4000 in Doctor. My focus is on being a good group healer while in battle. I played SWG two years ago and so much has changed, especially with the new combat upgrade, that I'm undecisive about directions to take. I've been reading this forum for ideas.

My main question is: which weapon and skills would be most useful for my CM profession? Right now I am novice Carbineer, but soon will be able to switch to novice Pistoleer if that would be a better weapon for my CM. The information I've read says Carbineer is better for CC. Is the stopping shot in Pistoleer any good? Or would another profession such as BH give me more defense?

If you only plan to take the Novice Box in Pistoleer then it won't matter much but I'd recommend using an Alliance Disruptor.

Is the stopping shot in Pistoleer any good?

Considering that's practically the only reason most people even pick up Pistoleer...

I suggest staying as a carbineer and picking up a good elite carbine.

If you want to root go stopping shot, damage go carbineer.
