Thread: Considering picking up MCM, would like some advice on how yall make $$$
As a BH, I can easily pull about 250k - 500k a day.... When I was a MBE I had a wealth over 80mil.... Now, I know unless I want to go back to MBE or try my luck in WS or AS I wont have that kind of cash flow... But I would like to be able to make 250k minimum a day (a day for me is about 2hrs on non-hard core mission grinding). Message Edited by SomeUser on 07-11-2005 11:57 PM

TBH I make most of my money from space loots, theres a lot of spawns that drop some nice lvl6+ loots which can then be sold to shipwrights for good money. A good lvl 7 sheild generator can be sold for 80k easy. I do a few hours space grinding a week and can spend the rest of the week doing fun stuff with the guild or the Kash missions.
Altenantively I have had some good drops from gorax on endor which are quite easy to solo with MCM/MBH and the shards can be sold to weaponsmiths for good money.
Like other posters have said you can't make money directly form MCM, but u can have a lot of fun with it and you're always popular as a rezzer in groups
You areso very right mickolakis! I stayed up all night crunching numbers on profession and doing research on various profession. I found that there are basicallytwo ranged templates worthwhile:
- MBH/MCM with carbines (I liked 1-3-0-0 as it gives me improved leg and +5 carbine speed). This seems to be the *best* all around PvP and PvE template. Very solid and I'm seriously considering it.
- MS/MC with master marksman and pistols 0-0-0-3 (for the root). This combo seems to be superior over the MBH varients as you should be nearly as effective yet you trade bounties as your main source of income with slicing and selling spices
I really like the idea of being a MCM... The REZ ability alone is much needed in my guild.... The healing is awesome and the DoT are boarder line uber.... It would take some adjusting to the lower ranged offensive power though... I know the DoTs make up for it but I'm use to using my gun as my main damage dealer...
Right now I'm strongly leaning towards MBH/MCM with carbines

I've still use my gun as the main damage dealer, either the proton carbine or heavy lightening rifle (both MBH certs). CM rootsare much better than pistoleer IMO. If you get close you can apply paralize, apply your debuffs to hinder action, mind and health regen, then slow movement, then apply fire which will break the paralize, they will move towards you but the snare will mean you can move out of melle/sabre throw range and proceed to kite, the debufs will hinder their regens and the fire will keep ticking away at a nice 250 dmamage every 3 seconds.
Even though i'm neither MRifles or MCarbs I can do great damage with the above 2 weapons when theyre both sliced and pupped. I have a few carbine and rifle speed armour attatchments but nothing too uber. My heals are great if someone does manage to get some hits in esp if i'm using bacta enhancers or i have my medic droid out. the great thing is that i can let my health get quite low and then do 2 bacta jabs and i'm back up to full health with minimal mind cost.
Smuggler sounds fun and you can make some good money, as I said BH is not my main source of income, it's just fun for PvP every now and again. I think MBH MCM with carbs is the most survivable template PvE and the most fun I've had yet.

I am just opening an RIS buisness with a guidmate of mine. I get the materials, he assembles them. With CM, soloing GDKs, krayts, etc is a breeze.
