hi all, I couldn't help but notice how many people recently are talking about how overpowered CMs are... while I'm willing to bet that it's not excessive power per se but just lopsided power, as I've also read that you all are quite underpowered in other aspects
to start, I have no experience in CM but I'd like to offer some thoughts, if I may...
it seems to me that the most complained about ability of CMs is that of AOE poisoning huge groups simultaneously and with NPCs without getting a TEF... what if CMs or even docs could craft consumable immunization/inoculation shots?... these could be made to only work against the poison etc. that used the same active ingredient, like in real life... so let's say someone used that dreadful geo. spider venom to make a poison then someone else or indeed even that same person used the same venom to make an inoculation... each would only be affected by the other... there could even be a chance to actually catch the disease or get poisoned while attempting to be immunized and the immunization's strength could be inversely proportional to its duration... also, stacking the immunizations should increase the risk of the user actually cathing the disease instead...
I don't know how this would work with NPCs... would be really cool to see the NPC soldiers lining up in an HQ to get their daily (or whatever time period is best) flu shot
has this been brought up before?
am I way off base?
am I way off base?
if you have nothing constructive to say, then please feel free to start your own thread, and we can see which one floats longer
IMHO,

Well, Chefs have something similar, food with up to +25 to resist on poisons and diseases.
Let's face it, as a combat medic, you basically get 1-2 throws of AOE poison or disease and you are dead.
Chef food does nothing, it's a placebo (I'm a master chef I know). And if you're only getting 1 or 2 throws of poison off before getting killed either you havecrappy teammates, no teammates, or dont know what you're doing. I'll admit I'll take down any MCM one on one before his crap kicks in, but in a group battle if you're dying that soon there's something wrong.

I would certainly be interested in having a doctor craft disease and poison resist shots, but not 100% resists.
Let's face it, as a combat medic, you basically get 1-2 throws of AOE poison or disease and you are dead.
And they have fixed the not teffing issue two publishes ago.
Also, I just think disease curing needs to be moved lower down the doctor tree, closer to novice. (not novice, just closer)

I just read a post yesterday in which someone said a CM AOE poisoned a couple of dozen NPC soldiers around their base and the NPCs did not aggro the CM...
