Is the AOE range on CM items a Radius or a Diameter? I would like clarification, as the FAQ says Radius, and Gnutt insists that he KNOWS it is diameter.

From the FAQ - If this is wrong, we should get it changed. Being that the FAQ has been viewed over 10k times, there may be quite a bit of confusion out there if it is inaccurate.

Just trying to get to the bottom of this.

Q) What do different stats on poison mean?

A) Potency - how often the poison will resist.
Effectiveness - how much damage will the poison do.
Range - How far you can apply it.
Radius - Radius for AOE in which all people get affected.

Well from my experience on AE meds the range is calculated the same adding in your range bonus. However the Area is not affected by any bonuses. Area only increases by experimenting effectiveness in the final stage or by experimenting ease of use when crafting the DM. An AE poison with a base range of 35 and area of 30 for example would hit at a maximum range of 70m(target) + 15m (area) for a total of 85m max. A 30m radius would have a total blanket of 60m. AEs are not made to cover that large an area.

Now I have tested this before with two friends hereafter known as Victim A and Victim B. I used 3 poisons:

AE Mind C - 27 RNG, 24 AE

AE Mind C - 40 RNG, 27 AE

AE Mind C - 48 RNG, 17 AE

Using the first poison I hit victim A at max range of 54m Victim B at 24m away fromA did not get hit. Tried a few more times with B slowly inching meter by meter to A and still did not get hit until he got within 12m. Using the other poisons I tested this out again and each time, Victim B had to be within HALF the rated AE distance in order to be affected by the AE. Now I did this test back in November-December timeframe (resources for ADMs finally became good enough on Kauri)so I have not done a recent test to see if this is changed nor have I heard of any changes.
