Yeah, the crybabies are out in force.

The carebears are pwning their butts, and it's driving them bonkers. All the buffs and the composite in the universe cannot save them. Only a doc...another carebear.

Is 9 the record holder?

I can't remember, but it definitely hasn't been this bad in quite a while.

Doesn't that mean anything to you? The fact that SO many people are not having fun? Can you get it through your head that you guys are overpowered and absolutly ruining PvP? Every profession has a few whiners, yes there are some who whine about BHs still. But does the sheer volume of very angry people mean ANYTHING to you? You guys are so incredibly self-centered and egotistical it drives me nuts.

A = Most PvPers that are not Doc, TKA, or CM
B = CMs

A = You guys are overpowered
B = YOUR A WHINER
A = No really, just ask everyone else in the game, your ruining PvP
B = Duh, you can easily beat a CM, you just suck.
A = How so?
B = Duh, have a Doc lapdog that follows you around and is always on when you are on.
A = Sometimes thats not possible.
B = Well drop whatever profession you want to be and pick up doctor because everything revolves around me, since I dont want to admit i'm overpowered, the xx% of all players that are not CMs must change, not me.
A = Thats so unfair, I dont know what to say.
B = Your just a whiner, go troll some other forums.
A = Go ruin PvP some more.

CMs use Riflemen in terms of a damage benchmark. True it only ticks once every 10 seconds, but that tick goes right through armor, defenses, PSGs, mitigation, death of attacker, food, strategy, and fun. Using Rifleman isn't fair either because, again, not everyone is a rifleman. Not everyone has the sheer firepower of the jawa, and thus in PvP rely on defenses, which you totally shread.

Actually it's more like this:

A=PvPer, B=CM

A: You guys are overpowered and need a nerf.

B: How so?

A: Your range is too far, your poison and disease stacking incaps, and your ability to target the unhealable mind pool is ruining the game.

B: Range is going to be fixed. Wound DoT+Damage DoT always equals an incap, regardless of the source. And mind is scheduled to be made healable with the Combat Rebalance.

A: You still need a nerf...

B: We need fixes.

A: YOU NEED NERF!

B: Why?

A: YOU KILL EVERYTHING WITH 100m POISONSEASES THAT TAKE OUT 5000 MIND IN 2 SECONDS!

B: (insert all the factual evidence here)

A: ....

B: What was that?

A: YOU NEED NERF!

B: *wonders why they even bothered*

Range hurts, but its not the number one problem. I'm usually poisoned in closer range. I just deals so much unhealable damage which can't be stopped even by winning the fight.

Something that will be rectified with the overall Combat Rebalance.

Most CMs know that there are issues with our profession. Issues that ruin the game for others due to FotM players. But we also know that any band-aid fix they slap us with now is probably going to stick even after the Combat Rebalance.

We KNOW there are issues. We really, honestly, do. But all of that is being put off for the Combat Rebalance. Nothing we do or say or test is going to change that...

Sometimes it's better to just be patient.

I respect that, but the attitude of many CMs on these forums is enough to make you want to make you blow something up. They don't want to hear what you said. They disregard anything anyone has to say thats in some way against what they believe in. The CM that quit, went BH, and posted on his experiences got 1-starred, and flamed. Unfortuntly the combat balance wont be for awhile, and in the mean time PvP continues to deteriorate everywhere. I dont know if you stay current in our servers PvP battles, but every thread about them has had some kind of sentance about CMs ruining it and totally swaying the battle.

What we hear, Bennyboy, is the crying of those who have found that there isa **edit** in their perfect PvP template and there is nothing they can do about it but cry nerf.

CMs are in the game to FORCE team play. If you can't play as part of a team, you will lose.

I know this is very hard for the Quake FPS crowd to comprehend, but SWG combat is deep.

If the CMs are totally swaying the battle, then you are going to have to figure out how to neutralize the CM, but you're unwilling to give up your uber template that rules if a CM doesn't show up and pwn you.

Yeah, I'm aware of the state of PvP, and I know how messed up things currently are, but the main issue(to most of us who have been around for a while) won't be fixed until the Combat Rebalance.

That issue, from my personal perspective, is the lack of healing available for the mind bar.

Most folks have at least some medic for self-healing, and armed with a B-Stim they can keep themselves going against health and action damage. But against mind damage, they're pretty much out of luck. Enter the Combat Rebalance. Mind healing will be readily available. You get hit with a Mind Poison, you heal it away. Same as you currently would if you are hit with a Health or Action poison.

Once that main issue is resolved, then we'll be able to take a full look at Combat Medics and their damage output and role within the game. We'll have a clearer picture of everything and, at that time, will be able to truly balance it against every other profession.

I know the Combat Rebalance is far off, and knowing that things will be fixed in the future doesn't really help us now with the current state of the game, but it's really all we have as an option at this point that doesn't completely ruin one profession(s) for the sake of another(others).

Edit:For the record, I did propose removal or reduction on Mind Poison/Disease until the Combat Rebalance. Also tried to see if we could have the ability to heal mind put in now, well before the Combat Rebalance. Unfortunately, due to issues involved, neither idea would be feasible.

What about the people who don't use an uber template? CMs might be the answer to stackers, but they are also the answer to riflemen, pistoleers, carbineers, smugglers, fencers, swordsmen, pikemen, commandos, and bounty hunters. I was a doc for awhile, and it is damn hard to heal just myself let alone everyone else.

If mind healing becomes available, then doctors be the next FOTM, and more powerful than any other FOTM in the past.
