Thread: Lower CM schematic requirements
There are several reasons I think this would be reasonable to do. To clarify, I think CM schematics should have a lower number of different resource types required to craft them.
The lowest level poisons and AOE stims take what, 5-6 different kinds of resources? Drop that number by one or two for them.
Now that med xpfrom pet healing is going to be non-existent, the amount of time spent on procuring resources so they can make what they need to even think about advancement seems ridiculous. Making their schems a little easier to craft would help offset that, and the LoS nerf bat blow they've been dealt. Yet it wouldn't have any effect on PvP balance, which seems to be the root of the LoS nerf anyway.
I'm not very deep into the CM profession yet, but I am tired of being chased by the nerf bat into every profession I start to get into. The next time I start to drop one because I find it has some seriously broken functionality or it is nerfed to the point it isn't even on par with other professions. I'm going to start considering dropping my subscription along with it, and I will encourage others to do the same. Maybe I'll come back when you guys finish developing your game to the point that is actually ready to be released. You guys should really consider building professions up to balance, not down. There isn't any reason you have to go down instead of up.

Sounds like you are switching professions for the wrong reasons. They will always look to take the most powerful classes down a notch, so maybe you shouldn't be switching into the most powerful classes. As soon as AOE started working after the big patch, all existing CMs knew that a nerf was coming. It's only all the new people swarming into the class after gettingposioned while in the cantina that seem to be surprised by this.

Actually ya there is. If they build everyone up to the level of pistoleers currently, then you lose all existing content. No one is supposed to be soloing a red con creature.
I'd rather them make a changes to existing overpowered classes than having to increase the entire game worth of content to match players.
Players are smarter than NPC AI they'll always find a better way.
