Thread: The problem with nerfing...

is once it starts it never stops..

Look at DAoC, their biggest nerf has created their biggest problem atm (smite nerf and Buff bots, respectively)

Now that Combat Medics are nerfed (without so much as fixing a FARKING typo in our schematic, JHC!) we'll be a bitter bunch and start demanding that others need to be "brought to our level", they'll get nerfed and in turn start whining that 'so and so' is more powerful and THEY need to be nerfed. Worse yet, since we've been given absolutely *0* reasons as to why (What the **** happened to our Correspondant?) we're left to speculate and will use these same speculations as the basis of why class X needs to be 'tweaked,' just like we were.

It is honestly incredibly scary that the devs appear to have *0* clue what direction they want to go in. All this time we didn't need LoS, now "suddenly" its overpowering and needs to be chopped off at the knees.

On top of the time/effort/expense to even make decent poisons there is such a HUGE risk that the reward simply isn't worth it.

Instead of nerfing us, why dind't they just implement Mind Healing on a class that is suffering for something to do in battle (chef perhaps?)?

Next will be weapon damage once classes like BH and Commandos are Mastered and/or fixed. They tried with the T-21 changes already.. Instead of making armor better (or fixing socketed armor) they tried to take damage away. They tried in such a way that the T-21 was actually WORSE than a Laser Rifle..

I left DAoC because of the constant nerfing while leaving entire classes unbalanced/broken (see Necromancer and/or Bonedancers). I had *planned* on spending a bit of time here in this universe but not unless the devs get some sort of 'road map' where they want things to be and stop making corrections with sledge hammers (from great exp off healing pets to *0* exp off healing pets--the only problem is that almost all decent groups not only let but MAKE the 9k+ pets tank the 9k+ mobs)

"We want the GCW to be everything it can be. We want factional PvP to be fun and exciting. We understand that as players, you don't want the 1% decay. We think it is an important game mechanic in the right situations, but we want to remove it from factional battles." --JustG 02/04/2004
Uh, so WE don't want it, and YOU don't want it in for PvP--then why is it still there??
