I understand the reason behind not having a mind pool heal on stims because it would make the healers have unlimited mind pool points(that it would bother me). What I would like to see is instead of mind pool causing incapacitation give it an alternate effect like 1/4 damage or 1/4 attack speed. 90% of the time when someone drops while grouped with a doc it’s from mind pool bottoming it. This problem is especially bad when you are fighting NPC’s that seam to target the mind pool with ever shot like tusken snipers. Alternately you could just have all NPC’s stop attacking the mind pool or make mind pool damage much more uncommon and remove it from the collateral damage effect(what I mean by that is even is you are hit with a health attack you still lose a little bit of action and mind).

Mind pool shots is the only thing that makes rifle a useful weapon, if it didnt incap people would be a total waste of a skill. Best thing to do is wear a good helmet while fighting people who shoot you in the head.

If you remove NPC's from doing mind damage, it opens it up more for PVP.

The whole thing is a bit screwy, i mean, the way it works, if you start as a brawling wookie, your screwed!

My idea is to have mind damage not cause incapacitation to PC's.

Rifleman etc would still be able to kill NPC's, and they would be devastating to medics and other rifleman as they would not be able to heal or use their special abilities with their mind poisoned or bleed to nothing.

That's just a suggestion. Although I still think something should be able to heal it. Chef food... something. It's stupid the way it is.

I TOTALLY disagree. Riflemen have it pretty tough as it is. No knockdowns, slow fire rate, bad melee damage etc. To take away the one thing that makes them tough, ie. death by mind pool hits, would be a nerf that would make them worthless in PvP. I don't think Docs should ever get mind healing either, as was said earlier this would give them unlimited mind. Maybe I could seeadding mind healif it could only be used on others and at a cost of 2 mind points for every 1 healed. If someone gets combat mind healing, it should be someone who cannot possibly have combat health/action healing and vice versa.

Every profession has their bonuses and their weaknesses, Rifleman seems to have more weaknesses, taking away the only reason to be a Rifleman should not even be considered, unless the DEVs want to completely redesign the profession.

They need to give entertainer a mind buff that's more practical than that little they do now. It would also give them a source of money and potentially a value outside of cantinas.

IdrisTycho, you don't know much about rifleman then, a master rifleman is as fast or even faster then amaster carbineer and give pistoleers a good run for their money. At master, you get a 90% speed reduction, so my T21 goes from 10 to 1. I can do over 800 mind damage a hit to someone in composite armor. With conceal shot, I can kill most anything without worry of damage. I'm also a master doctor and have listened for awhile to the debate about not being able to heal mind damage. I don't think we should be able to heal mind damage, but I don't think we should be able to get incapped from mind wounds. I like the idea of getting a decrease in ability if we have low to no mind points though. If they want to keep mind damage as is, they should either give rangers or enterainers an ability to heal mind damage in the field as we do with action and health or further reduce the damage taken to mind and/or the ability to target the mind pool.

If you have a master rifleman then you should know better than anyone its a pain. Shouldn't force people to have to master rifle before their skill is useful in any way at all.
