Im a novice CM 0-0-0-3 and I hand craft all my stims. Being only able to craft ranged A's i usually make reg C's. The best C ive been able to make has had about 30-32 charges and only a 250ish heal. Im using inert petrochem 897 oq and high quality bones 700 +oq and 700+ oq water. Most of my stims are around 28 charge and 200-220 heal.

Is it time for me to get a factory? Is that the difference in the quality of the stims? Does using factory components help with expirementing?.

Could you post the stats of your stims and what resources you make them with? I was buying my stims before but would always run out in the field and that would pretty much end the group. This way ill be able to craft my own out in teh field and be able to keep on playing.

As far as I know, factory components aren't any better than regular components, I only use them because they are required by the higher meds.

Advanced components make a huge difference, so take some time and gather the resources for the advanced components.

Take a look at the stats on your components, more matters than the OQ. Potential energy matters to experimentation on potency. The first mistake you are making, is using Bone as your organic. Bone does not have potential energy, use meat! You are missing out on the benefit of Potential energy. (what matters for experimentation can be seen in the lower right when you click on the schematic).

For Organic I use Beans with 850 oq, and 950 potential energy and Fiberplast 950 oq for inorganic. There are some inorganics that have potential energy too, but the fiberplast I have is soo good it out weighs the addition of potential energy.

Wow Awron, you just answered my question to a post I was going to make. Thanks for saving me time. I was going to ask what qualities make for good medicine.

Back to the question about factories. They will not make you a better product. They will only duplicate the best you can hand craft.

I don't think you mentioned that you experiment. Make sure when you do experiment, it's only one point at a time. I know when I first startedI was dumping all my experimentation points in at once, then hitting the experiment button...I didn't know any better.

So it looks like between experimenting and getting resources with good OQ and Potential Energy. I've also noticed that unit toughness seems to help reliable experiementing...but I could be wrong.

I hope this helps you some.
