Thread: Issues with AOE heals
Can we suggest in the next round of CM issues that the /denyservice command be extended to medic classes?
As a CM, AOE heals keep my group alive in combat, however, they heal EVERYONE within my radius, regardless. And at Master, that's a fairly large area. This though has crossed my mind lately, but not so much until last night, when my group was doing Krayt hunts, and another group came along and started trying to KS our krayts and steal spawns. I can't heal my group effectively, unless I also heal people that I DO NOT want to heal.
This command is already in the game, I vote that it should be extended to the medic classes as well. (And you can beat me with a stick if it already is and I missed it.)
Better and simpler suggestion.
If you are in a group and use a AOE stim, then only the group is healed.
Outside of a group, anyone is healed, unless you are factioned of course.
not as important, but i would also like for my AE heals to actually have an area affect when i use them while targetting myself...

That isn't a good fix either I'm afraid. I can think of a very specific and recent example where this would have been terrible. I was grouped with about 10 other members of SITH during the massive rebel raid on Talus a few nights ago and during the battle I used many area stims. My group was often split up and not within the radius, and I would have only been able to probably heal one of them at a time if it only healed people in the group. I want my area stims to be able to work on all my fellow Imperials around me in a large fight like this.
I'm not following you on this at all.
So you want an AOE to work in a huge radius because they are not standing within your AOE radius as it is?
People are going to spread out in a battle thats just a fact. Learn to live with it.

Why? You are ranged for a reason. Stay back, throw a heal, and fight if necessary. You should not be in the front lines. Otherwise drag a person out of range.
Kiera,
what he was saying was that he wanted non-group members to be healed in that situation - they weren't in his group, but were still on his side.
make Area stims work target based:
- if i target a group-member, it only heals the group
- if i target someone not in the group it heals area
i usualy hunt covert and the people i run with do as well. it annoys me to heck when my AE hits an overt and i can't heal neutrals for 5 minutes or longer due to a TEF after that.
