What is the difference between they?

What is the best for me? I'm a Rifleman and I heal my friends in combat.

Combat Medic all the way.

The difference seems to be that a doc can't really handle himself during a fight. He heals well and all but if he gets targeted by a MOB, its bye-bye.

A Combat Medic is proficiant (sp?) with rifles, carbines and pistols and also uses poison to defend himself if needed.

Doctor.

I'm a master combat medic and oh how I wish I went doctor. The ease of buffing yourself and ability to cure poisons and disease far outweight the area stims and poisons of combat medic. I am a master combat medic and I am sooo bored with this class. I wish I was a Doc

Ok, there'sa problem with that. Since rifle's main stat cost is mind, it's going to overlap with medic costs. Add into that the fact that medics (even CMs) have to move around a lot during combat, and rifle's aren't the most accurate weapons in the world. You can't heal while prone. And you can only heal in between your (incredibly slow) attacks.

go with combat medic. I'm a rifleman and combat medic, rifles ideal ranges generally are around 45 m or so, and you can throw a stimpack from that distance.

I'm a master doctor and working towards combat medic. The difference is doctors focus on healing wounds while combat medics focuse on damage. Both are good professions but don't mix well with your rifle. I admit doctors abilities are limited in combat but that doesn't mean we can't hold our own in a fire fight. We can buff stats and revive dead players while combat medics heal from a distance andthrow DoTs. Both professions need something from the other and are a well balanced supporting class.

I'm doctor, com med, AND rifleman... and I can tell you that it's among the BEST combos in the game. Just put ALL your stat points in mind and then buff your other stats. Not only do your heals and rifle shots drain a TINY amount to your MASSIVE mind pool, but because your regen rate on mind is so good, you're almost unstoppable... except against other com med, doctor, riflemen.

I'm going both.

You need doctor to revive dead player and to heal those HAM wounds.

I picked up novice pistoler, novice doctor and now novice medic. I think it is a good configuration especially since I can buff action/health and wear some decent armor made for a doctor. I think I got high kinetic? or maybe low kinetic don't remember but a good master armorsmith can help you out there.

I'm a Master CM with a some novice doctor thrown in for kicks. I love the combination. I can heal people from afar (I *heart* area heals so much) and I can revive the dead. I'm also a novice pistoleer mainly because I have a personal preference towards pistols.

You should play what you find the most fun. If you enjoy healing people with blue balls o' magic from afar, go CM. If you like very powerful heals, buffing and wow'ing folks with your wound healing mojo, go full doctor. Or, like some have suggested, go for both I know I certainly have found it fun and the appreciation of the players out there that I've helped along the way have only helped to make me believe I made the right choice.

Will you Master Doctors/Combat medics have enough skill points???

Seems to me you'd have to pick one or the other. I'm a Combat Medic. And based on what you've wrote, go for CM. Seems like you enjoy that, right?

a Master Rifleman has an attack delay of 1 second on any weapon with a delay <20.0

of course this only adds to the mind pool problem.
