Thread: DEVS when r u gonna nerf poison in PvP
it seems like a strange thing.. all other kind of combat have been nerfed in PvP
but not the CM poison., 1 cm can ruin a hole group by mind poison cause he gives this much damage fast ..
nerf it like all other attacks
This is a perfect venue for me to vent my frustrations at all the uneducated people who just scream "nerf cm's" because they've been beaten by one:
1. Posions/diseases are slaves to the resources available on your server. If the resources are crappy, your posions/diseases are going to be crappy no matter what. No other weapon is dictated by random resources ingame.
2. All of our sub-components fall under regular medical crafting which means we only get 5 points to experiment with even though these sub-components are cm specific. Doctors, who don't even use these sub-components, get 10 experimentation points. No other weapon is affected this way.
3. The new crafting change is going to make experimenting less effective meaning that my 5 points I get to spend in crafting my sub-components and the 10 points I get crafting the final product is going to be worth less. Translation: My poisons/diseases are going to be weaker, have shorter range, and have a higher resist rate. So one batch of posions/diseases could have really good range, potency and damage, then the next batch I could get a critical failure or two and have the weakest weapons in the world. Pistoleers buy their pistols, carbineers buy their carbines, riflemen buy their rifles, commandos buy their flamethrowers, bounty hunters buy their pistols, swordsmen buy their swords, pikemen buy their lances...combat medics craft their posions/diseases. We're the only class that has to craft their primary weapon using no less than 9 different resources and now all that work is going to be made less effective. Oh, then strip off another 75% of that effectiveness for PvP.
4. My posions won't incap anymore, and neither will my bleed from my pistol. Soon, I'll have to stand toe-to-toe with other combat classes and fight it out, waiting for my DOT to bring them down to 1 HAM, then shoot them. I doubt there are very many cm's out there who can survive a straight up battle with ANY other combat class for more than 10-15 seconds. We simply don't have the offensive power to deal out the massive amounts of damage with the speed that the other classes do. On average, posions DOTS take around 25-30 seconds to kill. Soon that time will be longer. Meaning I'll have to hang around and take a longer beating. I guess I could use the 81 points I have left after mastering cm to go master Pistoleer or something, but then I sacrifice the ability to be able to locate those 9 resources I need, (especially since NOBODY but cms use those particualr resources; the demand for them isn't very high)
5. Oh yea, and half of our weapons don't even work! (area disease C anyone?)
Go cry nerf on someone else's forum man. We have it rough enough as it is, and it isn't getting any easier for us in the near future. The cm's you've obviously run into have adapted to the shortcomings of our profession and found a way to deal with all the hardships we have to face. Quit complaining about it and go figure out a way to beat us on the battlefield. That's what we did to you...
P.S. We also still need the 8 different resources that doctors and medics need to make our stimpacks for those of you who think we should only be healing folks from a distance. So we have to compete in a market that two other professions also draw from, and we have our own special market that nobody knows about. In case the scope of this is over your head...17 DIFFERENT RESOURCES REQUIRED TO FUNCTION AS A VIABLE COMBAT MEDIC. What do you do...go find a weaponsmith and buy two or three guns. Sooooo difficult.
/clap

First off, are you kidding me ? We have been nerf'd since the begining. There are so many things that we need to make a single heal, poison, or disease. Yeah we can give alot of damage in a short amount of time (30 seconds) but that damage can be cured by a doctor with a poison/disease cure pack. Then followed up by a wound heal pack.
Second, like our mind diease, the Fire knock down is uncurable and the same with the commando's Flame cone. Those two shots take 3/4 of the health bar at once and then they incapp you do to wounds if you survive the first wave.
Third, i tire of all you "nerf hurders". That is why I target your type in PvP first. All other combat classes have to goto a Weaponsmith to get a gun and it only takes a monkey to hit the "tilde" key and 1 or to double click on it. We have to first locate the resources, wait til we have enough of saud resources, then find a doctor to craft a good schematic with said resources, run a factory run with each component, then use those to experiment with, followed by more factory runs. After all of that work, it take us 10-14 days work just to make one round of poisons/diseases. Now that monkey with the gun can go into battle instantly and kill people over and over again.
lol BH is far from the most powerfull in PvP.
mix smuggler and pistoleer and the damage output is way higher
