Thread: MasterDoc/MasterCm Questions
rilfe anything is good in PvE & PvP.
I'ma cm/doc I'm good support but I merely challenge nunas
I tend to dislike "give me the best template" questions, as it means you have a goal beyond having fun. I would strongly suggest you just play around and find what you prefer by trial and error, as that is the point of the dynamic SP system...
However, there are a lot of options you have available to you, depending on your requirements.
If you are definitely doing MD-MCM, in PvE pistols are generally the best, as they are the most dabble friendly of the three standard marksman lines. Furthermore, in a group, health is usually the common pool hit in a group, which pistols and health poisons augment well. (Otherwise, you need to carry both health poisons for group fighting, and mind poisons for when you are soloing with rifles.)
I would question needing either MD or MCM. My understanding is that a 4440 doc isfairly comparableto a MD, and a 4004 combat medic is fairly strong as well (although it carries definite disadvantages). Both classes have strong incentives to master them (I know combat medic has very large skill gains), but you might want to re-examine what you want to do. If you can find a vendor for supplies,a MD-4404CM-0001carbineer is better in PvE than a MD-MCM-0404marksman (at least in my opinion).
If you are doing PvP, mind damage is the be all and end all. However, there are three clear templates regarding rifles, CM, and Doc. Master two, and forget about the third. CM-Rifles is the most offensive, Rifles-Doc is something of a defensive hybrid, and a CM-Doc is purely support. The CM-Doc is the most group oriented and arguably the best in a large group, but weakest when soloing in PvP. Between the first two, it's all about personal play style.
There are also a couple of threads bouncing around the forums asking people what templates they play, so you can get a better feel for what is out there. Like I said though, I think the best thing to do is play around and find a set up you like, rather than a "uber FotM perfect" template. ![]()
