Well, I've been looking at the other profession forums, and they really have very few similarities to this one. I mean, there is still the rants on nerfs and the odd bug referance. But You don't go on to the Commando foum and see 20 posts explaining how people have abused CM's, and you don't go onto the Rifleman forum and see 20 posts from non-CM's stating they hate CM's so much.

And the CM forum lacks what makes the other forums so useful and warming, I got onto all the forums and they all have people helping eachother to make themselves effective. Sharing PVE or PVP techniques, suggesting the best weapons (I realise this is impossible here, since we don't have weapons ), there is always lots of discussion templates. All these things really make these forums a nicer place to be, you don't see constant locked threads there.

I just wish these forums fealt more like a community of CM's, but rather non-CM's have hijacked the whole forum. Some of these posts are useful, but others you have to ask why would anyone bother to post them.

There is a community behind the madness....it's just attacked. there are a few good threads out there for the CMs who arent the psychos you just gotta pick em out.

Have you looked at the thread listed in the "useful links" STICKIED on the top of the forum? There is a lot of especially useful information there.

That aside, there is a fair amount of interesting and friendly posts on the forum. There is fewer than many other forums, but that is a byproduct of having fewer CM's than most classes (based on the last survey of number of each classes). This is not including the FotM CMs, which either post nothing or add to the trolling post count.

It's all a matter of watching the forums for a while. Don't be put off by the number of trolling posts, and read through for a while. There are a lot more non-trolling posts than you might think (they just get overshadowed by the sheer number of replies to trolls).

You get used to it... It's actually gotten to the point where I enjoy fighting trolls more than I enjoy playing the game.

Well, its a simple matter of CM's not being balanced and people taking advantage of that. I would be classified as one that would be on the opposing side of many here. Although I am a CM, I have seen this profession really destroy a valuable part of this game. I have tried to be constructive, but I do disagree with a lot of the thoughts here. I choose to see that as a healthy interaction. When it comes down to outright disrespecting people I think that is a bad thing.

The fact that this professions forum have been such a target of negativity shows that really there is a problem here. I realize that is not always the case and sometimes its an education problem, but in this case I feel it is legitamate.

In any event, Jfang is right you can find positive pieces you just have to look for them and the stickies are a good place to start.
