TH said no, not right now. Many things are still under consideration. Chances are this decision will be tabled until after the Combat Revamp.

God I hope not

Though I do think CM still needs to be rebalanced somewhat, I dont think a 75 percent damage reduction is the answer.

Without CM's the game would be fencer wars with a dash of rifleman.

If we get a reduction then poisons should incap.

Yes, how true. I was thinking, 25-50%, I'd stay CM. But 75%... thats just BS. I'd quit SWG if they ever did that. I mean think about that, 75% is alot compared to Rifleman and HeadShot 3 with a Jawa. Someones mind or health would pretty much regen by the time of the 2nd tick.

The devs stated there will never be a 75% reduction for cms considering our dps is one of the lowest, although you know how the devs are with their wording. I wouldnt hold my breath for this one although the nerf hearders are welcom to try.

It really all depends on what happens in the combat revamp Tsunami.

If the combat revamp is anything like the jedi revamp every profession will be getting a damage reduction. Combine that on top of speed caps which the devs have already stated are coming and the DPS of poison gets closer to that of other professions after the 75% reduction.

I think everyone also assumes that buffs are gonna get a huge nerf. Assuming they do, a decent poison would still have a good tick of damage they will not be regened with much lower stats from nerfed buffs.

I guess we will all just have to wait and see what happens in the combat rebalance. Of course this all assumes the GCW lives through the perpetual Force Run 3 jedi that seem to be the bane of all at the moment.

The only way a reduction of that caliber was ever installed would be if the regeneration values of a fully buffed player were incredibly low. Its the insane regeneration (and armor) that regulates PvP to who can KD/dizzy first or who can do the most MIND damage.

Really looking forward to the new HAM changes in the revamp. Just wish that deadline would hurry up and get here.

iv just gone CM to test out how "overpowered" every1 says it is and i disagree with them. CM completely sucks for pretty much everything but PvP. we cant really craft and sell things as they only ppl who would buy our itmes are other CM, when we do have to buy things its usualluy at a really high price and we are useless at solo PvE. i think the new fixes to CM are fair but a 75% damage reduction for PvP (which all other proffs get) would completely ruin CM and make them useless. FYI after combat revvamp melee profs arent sposed to be able to wear comp armour and max buffs are sposed to be1k enhancements.

i find it funny that CM damage is being compared with rifleman here

first off all most CM are rifleman as well so

second off all CM isnt a main combat profession its a suporting profession

so i think atleast a 50% damage reduction should do.

CM is a combat orientented prof and is more PvP than any other prof due to its lack of ability to due anything else ( PvE, run a business) so its fine comparing it to rifleman. Doc is also a supporting prof but loads of the top PvPers are doc its all about making a template, and as for damage a CM poison does around a 400 tick every 10 seconds and when you compare that to most other profs in PvP thats ridiculus, try reading some of the other posts which explain how CM works in detail and lists all the downsides b4 whining CM need a nerf.
