Thread: Better DOC OR COMBAT MEDIC?
I've been a Master Doc for awhile and I must say I enjoy it very much. You become a very valuable and popular component to your guild/group.
I happened to have the ranged skill already, so yesterday I decided to go Master Combat Medic. Why not? I have all the resources fresh from grinding up to M.D. already.
Heh, it's so easy to grind if you have the proper macros setup. If I didn't have to stop last night for family Christmas activites I would have had Master CM in about five hours. Now Im sitting here at freakin' work on Christmas Day so I'll have to wait till later to get the last two boxes ![]()
Anyway, I cant wait to try out this combination of profession on the battlefield. I've enjoyed playing a support role keeping my group alive, now I'll be able to deal deadly long term damage to my opponents as well.
Should be fun! ![]()
If you like being the uberhealer that can heal fields full of players (in theory) and be able to throw some non-lethal poisons then you might like Combat Medic. I'd have to say I have much more fun doing Combat Medic things then Doctor things. Combat Medics truly are large group oriented characters in a game that isn't very large group oriented, so you'll often find your abilities being negated by fighters self-healing with Novice Medic abilities.
Doctor is a good support class, and in combination with a number of other combat professions can produce a very capable self-buffing character, not to mention saving you 29 skill points.
They're very different in that CM is actually given some offensive abilities, but you spend many more points for it. A number of people will and already have argued that with the skillpoints you save in going Doc over CM you can build a much more capable fighter. Both are still good classes in my opinion, its just that it takes a 'special' kind of person to play CM.
